I'm in total agreement with that statement.  The problem, as I see it, is a bunch of groomers keep wanting to take KIDS to these shows.  Make the shows adult only and I'll have no problem with your depravity.

I've seen videos of kids at these things and most of them look either extremely uncomfortable, or mortified by what they're seeing.  THEY don't have a choice!

I have no idea on how this stuff got started, but it needs to stop.

This DUmmie has the right idea.  This is how I've always felt.  If blackface is bad because it is a 'cariacature' of black people, why is drag any different?

50 years from now all the pictures of these deviants will be cause to keep them from holding office or getting a job.

Some people do feel that way. I think part of it is that it's not unusual to see the common markers of femininity in our culture -- skirts, high heels, makeup and carefully coiffed hair -- and see them as are markers of women. There's a difference, though.


Explain the difference from this and blackface, please.

Fun fact #1: The Drag Queen Story Hour events are run with so little accountability or even just basic concern for children's safety that it has been revealed that at least three of the drag queens who have been allowed to participate in those events were convicted child sex offenders.

Fun fact #2: At least one of the libraries that sponsored one of those events normally demands a full criminal background check for anyone who intends on having a program directly aimed at children at the library, yet they deliberately waived that requirement for the drag queens because they knew that if they didn't, the drag queens would inevitably accuse them of bigotry.

If it weren't for the COVID shutdowns, I 100% guarantee that at least one child would have been molested or worse at a Drag Queen Story Hour event by now.


If the drag queens want people to trust them with kids, instituting mandatory criminal background checks on all participants would go a long way.
