Had we run anyone other than some weirdo woo-woo TV doctor for THE ****ING SENATE, things might have turned out differently. All any thinking person has to do is look at what has been done in and for Florida, and the solution becomes apparent: solid, capable, non-self-absorbed leadership. That's what people are hungry for. After what we endured yesterday?  It might be time to kind of distance the party from Trump and start fielding solid, conservative candidates.  I wasn't super high on Oz to begin with.  You using Floriida is a perfect example of what we should be doing nationally given the absolute abysmal state of our economy, inflation, etc..  There really is no excuse for this happening.  This should have been a cakewalk to both chambers.

     All the liberals are on Twitter asking if they can indict Trump now. And I thought, you know, that's a great idea. indict him NOW to distract and frustrate him, and to distract the Dems, so actual adult Americans can focus on putting together a 2024 candidate and campaign that can un**** this country. Unfortunately, I think there are Dems in high places who see it the same way, and they'd rather leave Trump to his devices since they know he can't help but insult DeSantis all day.

I agree with the concept of not banning people for their political expressions on this site. Some of you may have forgotten why this site even exists... and some of you are the reason.

My personal opinion is that we have seen quite enough of Trump, whether he was sabotaged by mainstream Republicans or not. So far we've heard "DeSanctimonious," "I have dirt on DeSantis, so maybe he shouldn't run," and "I got more votes in Florida than he did." His hand-picked candidate for Senate in PA lost to a brain-damaged Kanamit. I'm interested in hearing about what a Republican POTUS plans to do about Brandon's inflation and soon-to-explode unemployment. I want to know when we quit devaluing our currency so Zelenskyy won't spill the beans on the Bidens, and I want to know how much bread and lead I need to sock away in case they steal another election. I can make up my own insults for AOC and all those.

This was never about Trump. At least I have never had that opinion.
For 2016, I was in the Cruz camp. In fact, it caused a riff between some conservatives and myself, normal back-biting primary stuff unfortunately. Of course I supported Trump once he was the candidate, there was really no other option. But I loved what he did while in office, at least 90% of it anyway.  If people haven't figured it out yet, Trump has no solid convictions. He reads the winds and leans accordingly. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, he's listening to the voters. But he's not the answer, he was simply the wrecking ball we've all been clamoring for the past few decades. 4 More years of wrecking ball sure would have been nice, the swap is strong and well populated, and we need someone who will not only carry the grenades, but also be willing to pull the damn pin and toss them in the proper direction. Trump had no issue doing either of those things, which is why the establishment GOP worked in partnership with democrats to destroy him.
All that being said, I'm ready to get back to my Tea Party style candidates and oust the establishment GOP and their entrenchment. I don't see them as much better than the self-proclaimed progressives. Desantis talks a good game, but I'm not sure if he's the one yet. I'm hoping someone far more solid comes along. But I've little faith in the Republican party as a whole at this point. They'd rather lose with a Romney or McCain candidate than win with a true conservative that will throw a wrench in their game.
Hell, look what they just did with what should have been a sure-win mid-term election...  we should have outright dominated that thing, and we barely eeked by. And with the turncoats in the party, democrats will still steer the policy in congress. The GOP needs to be destroyed, they are our biggest enemy.

We've been hanging around these parts together for a long time, and I knew there was a twinge of sarcasm and hyperbole in your post. My concerns revolve around saving our country from this liberal dystopia that they don't even comprehend they're causing.
