I keep seeing post from folks who are going to leave Twitter because Musk is going to change them $5 a week. Why not leave because Twitter is a cesspool run my a deranged maniac who is looking more and more like a stand-in for TFG? Leaving because of the money sounds a lot like the people who are going to vote for Republicans because of gas prices.

There's absolutely nothing in the news about charging $5 a week for twitter. 

Don't know if I would pay that, but I will say that twitter is a hell of a lot more fun ever since Friday.  So much shadow banning was going on without anyone realizing it, it was incredible.  All of a sudden, Thomas Sowell appeared in my timeline.  And many others I didn't even realize were on there. 

Another thing.  Before Friday, my timeline was flooded with all the lefty loony posts, like from Rob Reiner, Michael Moore, and the like.  Why waste your precious leisure time being accosted with that?  All that went away, and I actually enjoyed myself.

It has been floated that users with Blue Checkmarks (verified) will need to pay $20 a month for that verified blue checkmark status.

Raven's post about a $20 per month charge is one quarter true. First, the charge being considered would be only for blue-check verification, and some special services come with that blue check. Second, there is an existing $5 per month charge for blue-check status. Whether Raven knowingly withheld that information or is ignorant of it I won't guess.

The average Joe Shmoe from Kokomo is not and would not be charged for Twitter access.

I had a thought today... with the revelation that the government colluded with big tech and having actual evidence of them putting their fingers on the scales, are the January 6th protesters now vindicated? Wars have been fought over far less.

I saw that, but I see a huge flaw:

For would be journalists like rupar, lemon and acosta, and for fake republicans like kinzinger, french, kasich and the mccain/romney types, it would essentially be a free service.
