I call straight out bullshit on the national poll that MSNBC/Steve Kornacki just posted

35% of all Americans are most concerned about the economy and inflation ... which favors republicans by
something like 65% of who can handle those problems the best

But only 9% see abortion as their top issue.

Look I am nuttier than a squirrel turd and dumber then a bag of mulch but I don't buy those #s for 1 second.

People please pay no attention to these polls because I think they are being manipulated by the PTB and to
make it seem like the republicans got this in the bag.

70. The numbers for abortion in all polls have been between 5% and 8%

for the past two months. I've been harping on this for a while now (check my posts). More people care about food and gas prices than abortion. You may not like it, but that is reality, and we need to address this in the last two weeks.

Uh oh, one DUmmie tried to inject reality....

16. Because that poll does not reflect reality

>70% of Americans favor a women's right to choose and Joe Biden has done an awesome job
on the economy. Best job #s in 60+ years and real wages across the country have been going
up too.

29. How do you know what reality looks like?

We have many different polls from different places over the last several weeks that place abortion below economic issues by a very large margin. So your explanation is that alllllll these polling outfits are conspiring together for the benefit of the Republican party. You're saying you know what the reality of American voters truly is.

Ok, so two questions.

How does this conspiracy work? I mean, nuts and bolts. You're claiming it, so I'd like some proof. Do we have evidence that more than half a dozen polling outfits, including major newspapers and cable news channels, are falsifying their numbers intentionally for a political outcome?

What empirical evidence do you have that your perception is reality and all these people are lying?

Remember reality-based community? It was a point of pride. "I don't like this, so it's a conspiracy," doesn't fit well with that ethos, IMO.

26. The usual basis we know when a poll is wrong,

We don't like it.

There is another thread on a CNN poll showing Democratic candidates leading. Suddenly the usually maligned CNN polling is without criticism.

27. I disagree. People are very concerned about the economy.

I'm in a position where I really don't have to worry too much about money, but I'm shocked at prices in the store. I can't imagine being on a fixed income or raising a family on a small income.

As an older woman, I'm also worried about crime. I read a post here the other day where someone said crime was decreasing. Certainly not so in the biggest metro area near me. Violent crime and property crime is up. Even my small town has more murders than last year...all committed by the same children with guns and grudges.

We ignore these factors at our own peril

44. Then you're calling BS on the DNC as well.

Their internal polling said the same thing when they briefed me. Reproductive rights has risen since May, but the economy/cost of living was and is the top issue.

Here's a lesson I learned early on in politics: never assume that the average voter thinks about issues the same way you do.

62. Inflation

No wonder people have the importance of inflation inflated in their tiny heads. It's non-stop Inflation Day on the TV. Pundits and "news" people. Inflation, inflation, INFLATION. No one seems to care that people have jobs. How many people honestly can't afford milk? Yes, things cost more. I'll live.

The price of gas gets artificially inflated by the oil companies. That really does get ridiculous, but if you don't own a business that requires trucks, it's not the major disaster some would have us believe. It's just really impressive numbers to "report." Where is the news that people who want to manipulate election outcomes are running for important offices? Should that matter to anyone? It hardly gets noticed, and when it does, it's only MSNBC.

Gotcha, thanks!

So let me figure this out...the DUmmy in question (Plant for a Brain) claims that PMSNBC is manipulating the poll to suppress the vital national importance of killing babies? That sounds likely... :whatever:

I'd like to see this poll, myself... several dummies asked for it, none ever linked it.

They're only going to get crazier and more fun to watch as november draws nearer.

I for one am going to enjoy their tears on the day after the election.

I wonder if DU will get "hacked" again...

In that Dummie's defense... I think that was a sarcastic response to other poster whining about inflation actually being covered/discussed on the MSM.

Most people have enough intelligence to know people coming back to work after being laid off doesn't equate to a good jobs economy. ...and then there are you retarded chimps.

Also, let's not just forget that the clown in chief basically called all of us on this side fascists and right-wing terrorists who threaten democracy. A whole helluva lot of conservatives aren't going to answer these dumbass polls. If it looks bad for you, you got the ones like me who don't give AF. I'm not the majority. I really do not give AF and will speak my mind. Ms. Sally Sue nurse or Mr. John Doe farmer aren't going to answer these dumbass polls. Remember, that fossil you voted for called them terrorists. JUST kinda fought a war against terrorists for the past 20 years and we all know the rendition and Guantanamo stories. Yeah, the f'n demented fossil basically called them that, so go **** yourself. Whatever the polls say it's gonna be worse. MUCH worse.

93. I wouldn't personally call abortion my top issue either

More focused on retirement and overall healthcare. My #1 issue is inflation, followed by the social security and Medicare. I’m kinda surprised inflation/economy is only 35% actually.

<7,000 posts is nowhere near enough posts to immunize a DUmmy from an introduction of facts to the reality-free community on the Island.
