6 states, 6 mass shootings, 2 days.

Over last weekend there were 6 mass shooting, 4 or more killed or injured not including the shooter, across the country. That brought the total for this year to 540 as of October 17. 40 mass shootings short of 2 per day.

Statistics are dry and easily ignored but for the 30 people injured and 4 dead and their families it's not so easy.

Every death by gun costs taxpayers directly $274,000 and every injury $25,000. The total cost for each is ~$1,000,000 the balance being picked up by insurance or written off/hidden in other costs like the cost of insurance increases, lost wages and all that sort of thing. Total cost for all that is over $550 Billion or about $1,700 for every man, woman and child in the country. To make things worse, only about 35% of households own guns. Would it break the 2nd amendment to have that 35% pick up the cost?

Sorry to ramble. Sometimes it just gets to me. Particularly the times when I think about the parts that aren't just dry numbers. The families, the humanity of it all. Husbands, wives, lovers, parents, children.

If you're interested in what it costs YOU individually there's an interactive chart that shows per capita cost per state here about 3/4 down the page. The rest is well worth your time to read. It doesn't have to be this way. States with strong gun regulation have less gun violence. Massachusetts spends $500/person and Alaska $3500.

So the cost for each ilegal alien is about 1 million a year ant the cost for each drug related death exceeds2 million a year. And don’t forget to add the billions we spend on the homeless as well. It all adds up to trillions of dollars..

Disclaimer: I pulled these numbers out of my ass just like most of the dummies do.l
Life is tough and it’s even tougher when you’re stupid

Basking in the glow of my white Privilege and toxic masculinity while I water the Begonias with liberal tears!

I will give up my guns when the liberals give up their illegal aliens

We need a Bull Shit tax to make the Democrats go broke!

Dear DUluded DUmbass DUmmy, stats just for Chicongo year to date (1/1/22-10/17/22) 524 shot & killed.

But that is under draconian gun laws, an ugly black lesbo democrat mayor and 60 years fo donkisist rule, and 78.5% black, 16.7% hispanic so small mind even smaller IQs DUchebags don't even think of that.

P.S. **** YOU ALL.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I noticed a a couple 0f things wrt that thread:

* >310 Views, just 2 Replies; I guess DU-folk aren't much interested in DU's 978,432nd hoplophobic, 2nd Amendment bash-thread;

* No links to stories of these "mass shootings". How many were in states/cities with hoplophobic laws and how many were in states with "Wild West" gun laws? How many, regardless of location, were by men or women or ???s who cannot legally possess the guns used? Is the DU-OP's silence on those questions a clue that some or all of the "mass shootings" were instances of hoplophobic laws failure?
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

States with strong gun regulation have less gun violence.

This is a blatant lie.

They have a lower rate due to their very high population, while lower populated states have a higher rate due to their lower population,   but gun control states and particularly cities have the highest absolute numbers, with very few exceptions.

As FrankSolich says: Dummies lie. All the time, Dummies lie.

"Be not intimidated... nor suffer yourselves to be wheedled out of your liberties by any pretense of politeness, delicacy, or decency. These, as they are often used, are but three different names for hypocrisy, chicanery and cowardice." - John Adams

There are lies, damn lies, and statistics. DUmbasses participate in all three. No one is migrating to any f'n anti-gun state. They damn sure aren't migrating to anti-gun cities. Do that math, DUmbasses. How many are moving to vs leaving those areas? U-Haul is cheap as hell out of Florida. Not many people leaving. California? I hear REAL expensive. Supply and demand.
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
