Since onecaliberal and other DUmmies give no context for this rant, does anybody know what in Hades he's talking about? If onecaliberal imagines doctors write prescriptions at will, (s)he is ignorant of the fact that there are entire classes of drugs that are heavily restricted. Further, the FDA approves individual drugs for specific purposes. Prescribing a drug "off label" is allowed, but scrutiny may result.

Whatever set off onecaliberal's rant, (s)he demonstrates ignorance.

Well, filtering DUmmies raves through a DU-speak filter and reading between the lines, it sounds like some doctor, nurse, aide, pharmacist, or pharmacy technician invoked a conscience clause to decline some sort of service or prescription and DU-folk want him or her forced to provide the service/drug or have their career ended. Or maybe some state passed (or is considering) a law forbidding giving puberty blockers or abortion pills to minors without parental/guardian consent. Either of those circumstances would set DUmmies into a frothing rage, like the OP and Replies of this DU-thread.

Well, I've seen a couple of times on DU, speculation (reported as FACT) that docs are hesitant to prescribe certain meds because they can cause miscarriage, and the doc would be arrested, imprisoned, delicensed, etc. More irrational scaremongering, in other words. I think that's what this is about.
