Not sure how many here still watch, Democracy Now...

There was mention of Will Pitt's death. There was a short video of him speaking about Bush's war and that big lie. I found his words powerful. He spoke with passion and in truth.

My deepest condolences to his family, friends and co-workers. May you find peace of mind and heart. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Not having heard of the outfit, I went to that great Internet info source (are Sarcasm tags needed?), W'pedia. Democracy Now! is a one hour radio program on Pacifica Radio, carried by their half dozen station and some NPR stations (in 2016, the program claimed it was carried on 1400 radio and TV stations worldwide; that's a mountain of salt too high for me to climb and take the claim as correct).

Pacifica Radio and it Berserkeley stations are both soap opera sh__-shows of petty kingdom builders fighting over still-quivering carrion. :rotf:

America BAD!

Haven't watched it in years but it's probably the same old Socialist garbage.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

On an unrelated topic, I wonder. If there was a show or channel, whether radio, tv, or just a pod-cast, that was called "Republic Now", how would the DUmp respond? Yep, a truly rhetorical question if there ever was one. :whatever:

As far as Pitt goes, I stand by what I said in the other thread. The DUmp pushed him away with a "love to hate" type of relationship. Now they are treating him like a deity.

Is the title "Democracy Now!" supposed to be a demand, like "Give it to me now!"? If so, that suits DU perfectly.

The primitive failed to mention the song playing in the background was the “State Anthem of the Soviet Union”.
