From what I understand, the judge basically tied Bannon's hands behind his back by forbidding him to say certain thing in his own defense. It was all but a directed verdict.

Something’s up. He could have easily taken the 5th and they couldn’t do anything. He didn’t even offer a defense. It’s almost like he did this on purpose. I don’t get it but maybe he has some long range plans in place. Worst he can get is a year which would likely be in a country club type facility.

I hope it wasn't the other outcome... someone caught wind of Bannon possibly baiting the 1/6 Committee to get involved with the trial.  No matter, Bannon can appeal this ham-loaf well past the midterms.

I expect--and hope--that there will be a lot of "turnabout's fair play" come January. But, what I really want to know is if Holder can still be charged and prosecuted for his contempt of Congress stuff from way back when.
