If you want to know what subconscious bias looks like, it’s a headline saying “AOC is underwater with every group EXCEPT women, nonwhites, and 18-34 year olds.”

So older, conservative white men are considered “everyone” and everyone else is discounted as an exception.

3. I think it's usually called "unconscious bias" if I'm not mistaken

I'm generally opposed to the concept of groups and, even more, to the concept of talking about whether one is underwater or above water with "them." I like data and, when it comes to conclusions, especially rhetorical implications, I like to see the work used to obtain the answer provided. This is not AOC at her best, IMO.

Why mince words? Unconscious, Subconscious. Meh...

I don't know what that DU-member's problem is, the obvious aside , but there are "news" sites that are simply clickbait sites using wildly hyped headlines and recycle years-old stories to lure people into clicking an article and seeing the barrage of ads. Those kinds of clickbait sites are - or should be - the bane of discussion sites' mods online existence (BTDTGTTS). DU-member demmiblue may have gotten hoovered by a clickbait site.

I see Just A Box Of Rain pointed out the date in Reply #4, and, unsurprisingly, was ignored.

She's so brilliant that she had no clue what a garbage disposal was, and thought those noises it made were from a "Monster" living in her sink!
Please DO support her as a presidential candidate, she'd provide so much humor and entertainment (On our side, anyway) in an election debate!

She is always spot on. The hypocrisy of the right on this (and hundreds of other issues) is beyond infuriating.

I'll take a single Senator Ted Cruz, Sen. Josh Hawley, Sen. Tom Cotton, Dr. Sen. Rand Paul, and the eminently quotable Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana against a million A0C's.  And that still isn't even a fair fight.
