This can't be happening because Joe said he was going to "shut down the virus."  It's all in their imagination, OR hear me out, Joe lied and people died.

Covid cases are increasing in my area

Another reminder…it’s not over yet…
JUST IN CASE YOU NEED IT EXPLAINED ONE MORE TIME:
You wake up with a terrible cough, a fever, and severe body aches. Immediately, you rush to the doctor. Unfortunately, you’re diagnosed with COVID-19.
For the last two weeks, you’ve been unaware that you were infected. For the last two weeks, you’ve ignored "the rules," gotten together with some close friends for pizza, had a few people over, even visited some parks and beaches. You figured, “I don’t feel sick," and "I have the right to keep living my normal life!"
With your diagnosis, you spend the next few days at home on the couch, feeling pretty crappy; but then you’re well again because you’re young, healthy and strong. Lucky you.
But your best friend caught it from you during a visit to your house, and because she didn't know she was contagious, she visited her 82-year-old grandfather, who uses oxygen tanks daily to help him breathe because he has COPD and heart failure. Now, he’s dead.
Your co-worker, who has asthma, caught it too, during your little pizza get-together. Now, he’s in the ICU, and he's spread it to a few others in his family, too--but they won't know that for another couple of weeks yet.
The cashier at the restaurant where you picked up the pizza carried the infection home to his wife, who has MS, which makes her immuno-suppressed. She’s not as lucky as you, so she’s admitted to the hospital because she’s having trouble breathing. She may need to be placed in a medically-induced coma and intubated; she may not get to say goodbye to her loved ones. She may die surrounded by machines, with no family at her bedside.
All because you couldn't stand the inconvenience of a mask; of staying home; of changing your familiar routines for just a little while.
#SocialDistancing = It’s not about YOU.
Copied from a friend.
Feel free to do the same.

1. Same here! More than 2,700 cases reported in my cty yesterday

Previous report which I saw was around 300 new cases.

Not surprising, though. Was at Kroger a few days ago. I was the only one with mask on.

Stay safe! 😷

3. Masks are practically non-existent in my area.

My husband experiences a lot of rude behavior because of his mask, mostly from men, but some women, too. Snide comments, people infringing on his space. Our society has gotten so rude & confrontational.

And someone bitch slapped the OP!  Ouch, that is going to leave a mark.

4. Don't exaggerate (2 weeks) it costs you, and all of us, credibility.

The pre-symptomatic but infectious period of Covid is likely about 1-3 days with infrequent instances outside of that range. An asymptomatic person (NOT mentioned in your scenario) is rarely infectious after 10 days.

We should NOT make things up about Covid.

I don't give a damn if you wear a mask or not.  Not my problem if you're afraid of everything.  But, if we took a page out of your playbook we would shame you all back into your homes so the rest of us could continue doing what must be done.

Cases rising!!!! :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes:

Deaths aren't, and when they sadly do occur, a lot of hospitals are just declaring the Wuhan as the cause of death because their corporations receive more free money.  As many of us have been saying all along, the Chinese Red Death is only marginally more severe than the average amount of flu deaths in an year.

Covid cases are increasing in my area

ANOTHER BIDEN AND DEMOCRAT PARTY FAILURE.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

New York Mets' Chris Bassitt says Major League Baseball should 'stop testing' for COVID-19

NEW YORK -- New York Mets pitcher Chris Bassitt said Thursday he "probably won't" inform team and Major League Baseball officials if he feels COVID-19 symptoms in the future and that MLB should "just stop testing."

Bassitt was placed on the COVID-19 list on July 1 after complaining about sluggishness to team officials. The right-hander missed his scheduled start against Texas last Friday and only rejoined the team Thursday.

"I probably won't (again)," Bassitt said before the Mets' series opener against the Miami Marlins. "There's no way. There's no reason."

Bassitt claimed he was asymptomatic.

"Just stop testing. Stop acting like COVID is far worse than a lot of other things," he said. "I was never sick."

He noted that under MLB's protocols, a positive test could mean ongoing testing that keeps an asymptomatic player out for an extended period.

"I guess the answer is I never should have said anything," he said.

Bassitt explained he tested himself after feeling sluggish because he has a daughter.

"If I can somewhat be safe I will. I tested myself. It was positive. So I basically had the choice to tell them so I can protect my teammates or not say anything and (put) my teammates at risk. I never had a symptom. I woke up perfectly fine the next day. Have not had a symptom since," he said.

Bassitt (6-5, 4.01 ERA), whom the Mets acquired in an offseason trade with Oakland, is scheduled to start Friday.

Covid Shots Binned As Demand Falls
By Harriet Sinclair | Editor at LinkedIn News

Tens of millions of unused COVID-19 vaccine doses are being thrown away by manufacturers and governments, as demand for the shots slows down. Moderna has ditched 30 million doses, while around 90.6 million doses have gone to waste in the U.S. With most people fully vaccinated and others opting not to get the shot, the rate of doses being discarded has increased since May.

Much like the D.C. media recent slobber fests such as the Gridiron Dinner and the W.H. Correspondents Dinner, the first of which was a "super spreader" event. Liberals are just magnets for the Chinese Wuhan virus.

I looked yesterday at the new cases and deaths graphs for Missouri on the usual source website. The data don't support the panic LibinMo has bought and is selling. Not that facts matter on DU.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.
