Antifa is most definitely real, DU morons.
They are the latest incarnation of the "Black bloc" Anarchist douchebags that have been a constant presence at far- left protests for decades, almost always being the first to get violent. A notable past "Black bloc" Anarchist was James Holmes, the monster who went on a shooting rampage in a movie theater in Aurora in 2012. Were he not currently rotting in prison where he belongs, I have no doubt he'd be proudly among the ranks of Antifa in their explosions of lawlessness.
They have the same distinguishing characteristics that the "Black bloc" Anarchists have always had:
They are lily- white trust- fund brats generally between the ages of 15 and 25 (Though some are older) who wear scrubby and mostly- black clothing from Goodwill purely as a "Statement," hate their rich suburbanite parents even while continuing to take money from them, and rant about "Corporate greed" while tweeting on their current- model Iphones.
When they're not living with their parents, they're usually found squatting in abandoned buildings.
They latch onto any liberal protest movement that they can use as an excuse/ justification to spread violence and chaos, as part of their larger goal of dismantling American society. Fortunately, they lack the brains, charisma and work ethic to accomplish this goal or do anything more ambitious than starting the occasional riot.
They leap at any opportunity then can find to get violent, preferably in a way that won't put themselves in quite as much danger (i.e. Ganging up on people >5 to 1).
They love using Molotov cocktails, wrist- rocket slingshots, and various other weapons.
An easy way to identify them is through the fact that they tend to smell like Woodstock port- a- potties stuffed full of roadkill and left out in the desert, due to their deeply- held belief that deodorant use, regular bathing, and all other forms of personal hygiene are for "Nazis" (I'm not kidding about this, I've checked out some of their propaganda websites for laughs).
Another trait about them is, even before the advent of COVID masks, they tended to cover their faces with these stupid bandanas that make them look like lobotomized Wild West bank robbers. They wear these bandanas for three reasons: To make it harder for cops to identify and arrest them when they get violent, to lessen the risk of their rich parents recognizing them in news footage of the riots and cutting off their trust funds (Nothing scares a "Black bloc" Anarchist worse than the prospect of having to get a job and work for a living), and to conceal the fact that they tend to have horribly rotted teeth due to a combination of meth- mouth and their aforementioned aversion to personal hygiene. An alternative option for face- coverings that they will occasionally use are Guy Fawkes masks from the film 'V for Vendetta,' which is mandatory viewing for them (Nothing says "Fight the system, oppose capitalism" quite like wearing plastic, mass- produced masks made in a factory in China by workers operating under sweatshop conditions and distributed as merchandise for a big- budget Hollywood movie).
They spend much of their waking time strung out on crack, crystal meth, and other drugs, hence their love of mindless violence and destruction. Express any disagreement with them on their views or practices, and they will call you a "Nazi" and physically attack you.
The "Black bloc" scum have been around in one form or another for decades, and likely will for decades to come. Now they use the title 'Antifa,' there will undoubtedly come a future time when they use a different title for themselves.
