Fellow DU'ers. I have posted positive GOTV and "help others" messages here, been pro-zactive to the Debbie Downers and posted "Let's Kick Some Ass" pix all over. That's doing what I can.

Every Accusation is a Confession.

For matters beyond my control, I am asking the President to take decisive action now.
I'm going to sit right down and write the Pres. a letter.
https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

Feel free to do so in your own words, and ask friends to do so. Thousands, millions?
To show our concern and support.

Without further ado:

Dear President Biden,

It is clear to citizens that while legislators and DOJ investigate a failed coup attempt at the Capitol, a successful coup has overtaken the USSC, which is dismantling the Constitution in a concerted effort by right-wing domestic terrorists, members of the Republican party, oligarchs, Christian Nationalists (Christian in name only) and others, a Mitchavillian (!) scheme that follows the Russian strategy to divide and destroy the United States,.

Normalize hate and violence
Stochastic terrorism
Bring down elected government and democratic processes.

This was also seen in 30’s Germany,
We are in a state of emergency, and are today divided into slave and free states.
We have the rare opportunity to stop tyranny in its tracks, and must.

This calls for extraordinary measures, some of which may be available to you in the expanded executive powers granted since 2001.They may include executive orders, expanding the USSC, ending the filibuster “rule” or others more potent. Why extraordinary? Because actions to destroy our democracy are going on right now, and are extreme, as in the sedition known as the civil war.

Many of us see your primary job as halting a foreign-supported civil war, already begun.

The abortion issue is just the first volley. They have others at the ready, and are working top-down and bottom-up to destroy constitutional rights, the constitution and the country.

Through some miracle, yet to be unraveled, the former guy was somehow unable to declare martial law. That kind of extreme. He wanted to; we know it.

Please don't wait for a 9/11-style concentrated terrorist attack. A nationwide distributed terrorist attack is under way now, with many more casualties suffered, including school children.

Take strong and decisive, extraordinary action to protect our country now. Your detractors will always detract. There is nothing to gain by placating them or even thinking about them. Americans want action, since we are already this day divided into slave and free states.

We citizens will do all we can to deliver “54 or more” in the Senate and expand our majority in the house. That might be too late to undo the daily damage, which is like a neutron bomb.

We must stop the “distributed civil war”. one which was declared, and which stinks of Russian tactics and influence. These remedies should not need the patient investigative and legal processes which might be rendered moot by a rogue court of ideologues and traitors to the constitution. What is the definition of sedition again?

You have a vast base of support, larger since the recent ruling. Do not act on the basis of polls. Polls are backward-looking and change is made in the here and now, and requires bold action.

The suspected instigator and supporter, Russia, has proven itself to be a third-rate power, relying on agents within the U.S. to bring about destruction, agents who declared war on the U.S. with acts of terrorism, insurrection and sedition.

Slow and steady wins the race
TO HELL

By sheer luck, Biden's response came to my house by mistake. Rather than forward it along, I'll post it here and save the USPS some work:

Dear Usonian,

Thank you for your recent letter. I was allowed to read it after I made a boom-boom AND a tinkie in the toilet. I also got some ice cream! The people here are nice. You should try to be President someday.

I just wanted you to know that I share a great many of your concerns. I mean, there's a toaster, and once I had a bowl of chili while I was walking on the beach and a dog was barking. So believe me, I get it.

Unfortunately, the world is extremely complicated, and oftentimes my hands are tied. Or, I have to choose between several terrible alternatives. It reminds me of that shingle I saw when I was chasing a cat that
stole a cherry pie I had on the back of my scooter that also had a bell. And when I rang the bell, all the kids came outside and one of them I had to fight because you can't get a White Castle at six in the morning after church.

Let me ask you, Usonian: have you ever seen a naked woman? I did one time. I was carrying a crate of machine parts and I dropped them and then I got in a fight. Do you like clown makeup? I do.

Thank you for writing to me, Mr Peepeepoopoo.
Your friend,
Dick Biden

Aww, isn't that cute. The DUmbass actually thinks its letter will actually be read by Gropey Joe. Then this DUmbass will be surprised that he gets a form letter with a computer generated Gropey Joe signature instead of a hand written letter from Brandon himself.

That's exactly what I was thinking. A lot of verbiage for something that, at most, might be read by a secretary or something.

At "most" is correct ...

Aw come on MAN!

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

10. Ask him to make it clear to the voters that if they vote democrat

and they get a majority, they are willing to reform the supreme court to get it back in balance. People need to know exactly what the dems are prepared to do to save the democracy and provide voting rights and women's health rights and address climate change. It is time every dem in the house and the senate get behind this effort. All dems should be running on this. Explain how they will deal with inflation but please explain how they need to save the democracy first and the only way to keep it, is to give a clear majority and to balance the court. Voters need to show that is what they want too.

I thought it was Demoratic, not Democrat? You mutts need to be more consistent.

So, in order to "balance" the court, the country needs a "majority" of (D)s elected to office. If you dont see the irony in that, I dont know what to say.

No one is going to read the stupid letter.  The only thing the Biden administration will take away from this letter is usonian's contact information so they can deluge him with fund raising letters and emails.

I only had to read that one line, and all of a sudden, I was hearing it in Leslie Nielsen's voice.

That's Peter Graves, but they're not far off from each other voice wise.

Any time I see the inside of an airline cockpit depicted like that, the first thing that comes to mind, is that scene where nielson pops in and says "I just wanted you both to know, we're all counting on you"...then stryker lands the plane and comes to a stop and nielson pops in and says "I just wanted you both to know, we're all counting on you".
