He is very sincere. That's obvious. I may not agree with everything, but he is being himself through and through. There is nothing phony about him. That's refreshing. And that came through tonight. He didn't try to be anything he is not.

He looked at the camera -- AT ME -- and was very clear about what he went through and why he has devoted his life to public service.

Cindy must have gotten her cast cut-off today. If I'm not mistaken she was still wearing it when they met the Palins yesterday.

it seems to me that he and Biden each tried to be the last person off the stage.. I think Biden finally won.. but they all exited to the side of the stage and didnt shake hands in the audience that i recall.

I only caught the last 15 mins.

He obviously addressed his POW days because that's what people know about him the most.

But instead of making himself out to be the baddest boy on the block he made it out to be a humbling experience (as I imagine it would be TiT-types notwithstanding). But the biggest contrast is how Obama spent 40 droning minutes talking about what a shitbag the US was while saying "I" 46 times compared to McCain giving an essentially "ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country" with the addendum: because America is @#$%ing awesome.

Perhaps you are just used to modern day speechifying and all the nifty lil soundbites and zingers associated with it. 

KISS- Keep it Simple Stupid

Did you understand what the speaker was attempting to espouse.
Did you believe the speaker was sincere in what they said
Did you agree with what the speaker said.

I'm not a super supporter of mcCain but I'd pull the lever for him in a heartbeat before I'd consider doing it for Barack.
