It's been like that ever since the DUmp was established twenty years ago. Dim'Rats don't completely destroy the "forces of wrongthink" in the latest election, and the DUmp Minkies go from flinging excrement at each other to turning on the slightest difference of opinion within their ranks in bloody-handed vengeance for their electoral misfortunes. Usually the admins there have to curtail access to the site to only registered members, to keep the parade of insanity from becoming public knowledge and a stain on the reputation of the Dim'Rat party as a whole.

It's become quite the entertainment over the years, with wagering on which Primatives of Prominence will have wandered off into the surf permanently over some real or imagined slight while the curtains are drawn.
