Could 51 Republican Senators ban abortion everywhere in 2024?

I've seen projections that Republicans are almost certain to control the Senate in 2024. If there's a Republican President and Congress could they make abortion illegal even in places like California?

No, because the leaked documents state the States' legislatures would be the ones writing any law concerning abortion.

yup. The entire point to the judgement was that the federal government has no legal standing in legislating abortion.

4. Yes, if they control Congress and the POTUS. although they will have to carve out a filibuster

exception, which makes it less certain.

The fillerbuster would prevent that. Everyone is hollering to bring down the fillerbuster now but that would be a stupid move for this reason. Repubs have a good chance of taking congress and presidency in 2024. If not then itll eventually happen sometime.
