It will soon be pellucidly clear why
ReTHUGs did not want a 9/11 type Inquiry into Jan 6 and why ‘on tape’ Kevin tried to sabotage the Jan 6 Committee with members who were part of the failed coup from the beginning.


Truth will out,
Those who were trying to deliver a six for a nine will be exposed starting on 6/9.
The start date is perfect.

Will enough Americans understand the truth of what Trump and the Republicans tried to do and care?

I hope so but I'm beyond concerned. The future of the U.S. is murky and the ascendence of the Hard Right is terrifying.

I'm glad we have legal weed in New York!

They have to understand what's at stake.
No, it won't make a difference to the crowd that is waiting for JFK Jr. and Princess Di to appear. But they are less than 30% of the voters.
And proving, on national, Primetime TV, that the J6 attack on the Capitol wasn't just an enthusiastic rally that got out of hand, but was a cold-blooded, calculated insurrection that was planned and coordinated by traitorous members of Congress, high-ranking Whitehouse officials, white nationalist groups, and of course the Mighty Orange Turd himself.

… RFK and Princess Di and Elvis, maybe even the Great Pumpkin (etc…) impersonators to show up at their next watch party and then tell them to turn on the republicans? I mean, they have to be pretty stupid to begin with, right? How hard would it be to fool them?

43. What the "true Trump cult" thinks is beside the point.

They're batcrap crazy and will never be convinced to turn against their dear leader. But they're also a minority, and probably a smaller minority than we realize. I believe that these hearings have the potential to make a huge impact on those who aren't blind Trump worshippers.

I lived through Watergate, and what I remember most is how the country's attention was absolutely riveted to what was happening in those hearings. There's a lot more competition for people's attention these days, but I have a feeling stuff is going to come out that will grab people's attention in a similar way.

Most of all, I just don't see the point of giving up on something before it even gets started. I really, really, really don't. If I end up getting disapointed, I'll deal with that when the the time comes. As I said here at DU last week:

I can live with disappointment, but I can't survive without hope.

17. I hope they will tell us what the plan was for the stashed weapons found after the seditionists were cleared from the Capitol. When and where were they supposed to be used and against whom? Who supplied them, whose idea was it to bring them, and who was designated to supervise the use of them?
