I have posted this time and time again. Mark Meadows is going to sing like a jail house rat.

Meadows was basically the command center for the attempted coup. He was involved in everything and he knows everything.

Meadows is still facing a contempt charge, he is facing voter fraud charges and he is involved in the Georgia investigation. He was the one who placed the call for Trump to the SOS of Georgia.

Meadows was involved with the fake electors, he was involved with every dam thing. Meadows could be looking at serious jail time and there is no way in hell that spineless back stabbing coward will want to do time. He will make a deal, he will sing like a canary in order to save his ass.

Once the open hearings start the pressure on meadows will increase. I believe he will become a big target of the DOJ and they will nail his ass. It's going to take time because this is the largest most sensitive investigation in our history.

In my opinion, if the DOJ can tie the oath keepers, proud boys, who have been charged with seditious conspiracy to people in the Whitehouse or connected to the Whitehouse, that would be a game changer. Meadows may also know about that.

We know the conspiracy between the oath keepers, proud boys and Trumps people took place. But you have to prove it beyond reasonable doubt. A lot of people have already spilled their guts and many more will follow as the open hearings and the DOJ investigation intensify. Mark Meadows is at the top of the list and he going to turn on people in order to save his ass.

**** Trump.

1. He Is Facing This, And He Is Facing That.....

Let me know when he's actually being held accountable. Until then, he's not going to be singing a show tune, let alone about anything of substance.

2. I will let you know. Patience is not your strong point.

He turned those text messages over very quickly, then somebody convinced him to stop. I wonder who?

Once he is facing jail time, he will sing.

Justice moves slow in America, it eventually catches up to you. People who delay usually commit more crimes as they delay, people like Trump.

5. When DOJ finds evidence tying WH and Proud Boyz, Oafkeepers, etc., we have them. Don't hold your breath though because that evidence hasn't been found yet, despite numerous investigations, thousands of investigative journalists looking to make their career, and Insurrectionists who would be glad to squeal if they have anything to avoid a trial.

6. Some of the oath keepers charged have made deals, they are talking.

We don't know what evidence they have given to the DOJ.

10. Yeah, they are talkng about conspiring with other militia groups. Maybe you have a link where they

are squealing about talking to trump, Meadows, MTG, etc., about where to enter the Capitol.

BTW: Would love for such evidence to arise. But so far, it's just hopeful speculation.

8. We really have no idea what evidence has been found by the DoJ.

If I had to guess, they are setting things up so that in the end they won't have to make deals with people like Meadows because they will already know and can prove anything he will have to say because they have already heard it from other sources and have solid evidence. That would be a tall order, but I hope that's how they are working it.

Star Member Hoyt (53,882 posts)

11. If they have evidence of trump, etc., conspiring with these militia groups, we'd know about it.

And, I'd do a little dance.

I don't think that evidence exists, but I'm sure people will still be trying to find it decades from now.

Quote
Star Member Mr.Bill (16,314 posts)

12. And how would we know about it?

Garland seems to be running a pretty leak-proof operation so far.

Now whether he does anything about it is another story.

 :thatsright:

13. Leak proof, or lack of evidence to be leaked. Plenty of evidence trump is UNFIT FOR OFFICE, but

don't think there is much -- if anything -- of him conspiring with Proud Boyz, etc. Wouldn't put it past trump, but I think the Select Committee will be quick to report anything like that, IF they find anything like that.

Star Member Hoyt (53,882 posts)

20. If DOJ had hard evidence of trump conspiring with Proudboyz, I'd bet

money they would have indicted trump by now.

Quote
Star Member Hoyt (53,882 posts)

25. Hard to indict when Mueller said over 20 times that they found not evidence of trump or campaingn

conspired, colluded, cooperated with Ruskies. Mueller wimped out.

I believe if they had evidence of trump conspiring with Proud Boyz, that would be enough to convince 65% or more of Americans that he should be indicated.

I do agree with you that DOJ -- and Biden -- believe that unless they have something big and clear they shouldn't indict trump. I feel the same way. Most of the stuff we have heard so far wouldn't convince 50% of Americans that it is anything more than a partisan attempt.

This poll is months old, and admittedly the survey question sucked, but I think it is pretty close to correct as to how most Amercians -- not political junkies like us -- feel:

27. And we still haven't seen the unredacted

Mueller report, and until I do, I will reserve my opinion about it's content. The only opinion I currently have is there is something there they don't want us to see. Could be genuinely classified national security things, or could be something else.

28. Not much left redacted after Nov 2021 court order.

“The decision is only a partial victory for BuzzFeed. Left redacted are portions of the report dealing with those who are not public figures, with the court determining that the outlet did not make a sufficient case for disclosing the “highly stigmatizing” information given the potential reputational harm faced by those whose identities would be revealed.

“Of the individuals whose privacy interests may be jeopardized by disclosure of the requested information, only one is a public official. The remaining individuals are private citizens who served on a presidential campaign,” the court wrote.

Someone might say, "I have a good friend in Russia who would be very unhappy if you spilled any beans. He might want to discuss your behavior with some of your family members and people say he has some very "innovative" discussion techniques."

14. Doubt it

All he has to do is drag things out to 2024 while his Moscow Mitch and the GOP do everything within their power to undermine the economy (and Biden's re-election). Then, assuming the GOP wins/steals the presidency in 2024, the case is either dropped or he gets a pardon, depending on how successful his delaying tactics are.

The rest is gravy. Good gravy worth pursuing, but gravy.

A bit of a confused figure of speech, but okay.

A bit of a confused figure of speech, but okay.

DUmmies and coherent English are not frequent companions. Hence the mixed-metaphor hash.
