My not totally WAG: the shooter is the wrong skin color for Progs' narrative of shooters being illiterate white Fundie Pro-Life gun-humpers. With the possibility of more characteristics that don't fit the narrative.

This particular dude fits the factual narrative of "mass" shooters/killers that good little Proglings hate: arm-length criminal record; some of which are felonies; legally forbidden to possess the gun he used (anti-gun laws failed to prevent his "gun violence"). He also hates non-blacks.

Last I heard, none of his targets have died.

Speaking of "mass shootings" that gun laws didn't prevent, throw in the Sacramento shooting which was a thug-on-thug shoot-out, in which many/most/all possessed their guns in despite of existing laws.
