I would guess they'll have to have a long deep think about it. Any prosecution will have to address why two of the defendants were found not guilty.

i mean, for god's sake, one of the defendants was found not guilty of "Possession of an unregistered short-barreled rifle"

so.................. the Feds have the gun... it is not registered.......... did the jury think the Feds just willed it into existence through magic or something????????????

I can't even.............. this is absolutely terrible. This was an open and shut case. they had videos, phone calls, an FBI informant, and one of their own co-conspirators flipped and testified against them!!!!!!!!!!! I guess because they aren't black, no harm, no foul. I cannot even believe this..........

it's because the weapon was not, in fact, a short barreled rifle, and perfectly legal to own, sans registration.

It comes down to the fact, the FBI planned the kidnapping, supplied the items and talked the two idiots into agreeing to be a part. The very definition of government entrapment.

  Let me see if I get this straight. These "illiterate, batshit crazy loons" hatched a sophisticated plan to get past Whitmer's security people, kidnap her, and make a successful getaway?   The first part of that, that the defendants are "illiterate, batshit crazy loons" or close thereto may be true, but that's part of why they were acquitted. They were such drunken semi-morons that the FBI operative had to create their plot for them. And the FBI operative is such a moron that he couldn't conceal that fact.

It was a stunt by FBI Hate-Trumpers concocted to make Whitmer look good and sympathetic, and

Now see, when something doesn't turn out the way one expected, a rational person asks "What am I missing here?". In this case, what the DUrps are missing is that FBI informants went well out of their way to badger the defendants into this plot. And that's just scratching the surface of what was revealed at the trial. But of course, DU is a cesspool of willful ignorance and insanity, so they'll likely reach no such conclusion.
