The Republican Party has turned fascist – it is now the most dangerous threat in the world

Does this sound familiar?

"Authoritarian regimes across the world have found that it is much easier and more certain to announce the election result they would like than to go to all the trouble of suppressing votes and gerrymandering constituencies. Once control of the electoral machinery is obtained then democracy poses no threat to those in power. Fascist leaders may use democratic processes to obtain office, but once there, their instinct is to pull up the ladder and let nobody else climb up it

Or how about this?

It is worth listing the chief characteristics of fascist movements in order to assess how far they are now shared by the Republicans. Exploitation of ethnic, religious and cultural hatreds is probably the most universal feature of fascism. Others include a demagogic leader with a cult of personality who makes messianic but vague promises to deliver a golden future; appeals to law-and-order but a practical contempt for legality; the use, manipulation and ultimate marginalisation of democratic procedures; a willingness to use physical force; demonising the educated elite – and the media in particular; shady relations with plutocrats seeking profit from regime change.

 

They are literally looking into a mirror and describing themselves...

5. Something I have noticed recently with the Republicans going full on fascist.

The Republicans are now calling President Biden and Democrats Fascist rather than the old
Socialist or Communist insult. An example I saw yesterday Glenn Beck's "The Great Reset" "Joe Biden and the Rise of 21st Century Fascism". If you are a Fascist, what do you do you call your opponent, Fascist.

They are trying to pin the word Fascist on Democrats like they have Socialist and Communist. Now we have Putin saying he is De-Nazifying Ukraine.

It seems to me this latest Republican meme is being orchestrated by Putin. Ukrainians and Democrats are now Nazis and Fascists and Putin and Republicans are anti-Fascist. Doublespeak as in George Orwell's 1984.

Exploitation of ethnic 1., religious 2. and cultural 3. hatreds is probably the most universal feature of fascism.

1. Inciting anti-white hatred and antisemitism, and lyingly accusing whites of racism are normal in the Dem Party.

2. Hatred of theologically conservative Christians and Jews is Dem Party orthodoxy.

3. Hatred of "white" culture and lyingly labeling it "White Supremacy" are every day talking points in the Dem Party.

Sometimes I wonder if the dictionary I learned as a child has somehow morphed into different things. And perhaps there should be a lib-tard to normal people translator.

They are actively attempting to morph the language through control of the definition of words.  It's why racism is no longer merely the belief that any particular race is inferior or one race is superior to all other races, instead racism now requires being the oppressing majority race, in the west. I've managed to tie more than a few around the own words when they tried how I wouldn't be a victim of racism if I were in Africa using their own definition.  Not that they are able to self-reflect enough to realize how stupid it all is.

These sorts of threads crop up fairly frequently, somebody makes it sound like they're being edgy and raw...but it's the same drivel that they've all be spouting for the past 20 years.

Perhaps if they all stopped 'self-medicating' eventually their brains would recover some basic cognitive functions and they would be get back to having a memory longer than that of a goldfish.
