ATTN DNC Chairman Jamie Harrison. Do you want to win by a landslide this fall?
63 Republicans House Members voted against Support For NATO resolution

The DNC should make ads targeting everyone of those mother ****ers in their home districts
for the elections this fall. And run those ads in the reddest of red districts too.

Whose side are you on? America/Ukraine or Vlad Putin?

Don't forget these GOP senators too.

Everyone of them voted to let Donald Trump off the hook about blackmailing Zelenskyy and Ukraine
to rat **** our elections by withholding military aid. And Trump withheld military aid as Zelenskyy
and Ukraine were actively fighting Russian invaders in the Donbas region.

Those GOP senators put their party over our country, our Ukrainian allies and standing up
to Vlad Putin. Only Romney voted to hold Trump accountable.

Mitch McConnell after blocking the American people and members of Congress from seeing
the evidence of Trump's trying to blackmail Zelenskyy by blocking military aid to the Ukraine.

1. The ads would write themselves

So many Republicans have spent years praising Putin because their party's leader (Trump) demanded it. So many traveled to Russia to be wined and dined by Putin. They've publicly gushed about him for too long for it to be forgotten. There are quotes from many prominent Republicans when Obama was in office of them saying Putin was better than Obama. Trump took Putin's side against the US Military intelligence apparatus publicly.

Dems cannot avoid this, this is the winning message. Republicans empowered and aided Putin, they love him.

7. "This is the winning message."

Yup! Don't let them talk about CRT, trans and gay kids, gas prices, inflation, the border, and so on.
Make them squirm and answer for their votes to help Putin. Do this in the reddest of red states too.

12. Completely agree

1000 percent. Every hour of every day we need to continue the effort to get the American people to wise up that the Republicans are trying to take over the country from within and take us in the same direction that Putin is doing in Russia.

5. Do the ads/social media hits and so on in the reddest of red states

Even if there is little chance of winning make those mother ****ers defend the indefensible.

But this should go well beyond simple politics and boil it down to its core. Why are you
supporting Putin/Trump instead of the Ukrainian people, NATO, and America?

**** those MAGA mother****ers.

4. "Putin Republicans"

Eric Swalwell among others uses this phrase very effectively.

It should be SOP for the entire party.

6. I agree

Start blasting away at these assholes when the iron is hot, which is right now. If you let things cool off or get misdirected by the republicans, then the independents who decide elections, will start listening to the unadulterated bull shit from the those “ patriotic “ ( to Vlad of course, not the USA) congress people who want fascism to be our form of government. Our side needs to make the point in no certain terms that the Republicans are trying to have a leader like Hitler, Stalin, Kadaffhi and Saddam etc. rule our country with an iron fist. Let’s not forget the real role model right now is Putin, for those “patriotic “ representatives.

18. I agree but here's the problem

Democrats and liberals, especially old-schoolers like the folks that post here, many of who are in their 50's or 60's, like to do a lot of talking and posting on forums; and we have the talking heads blathering away on CNN and MSNBC - but few with the unique ability are willing to step up and do the hard work and take the personal risk to lead the movement to counter the Fascists.

Especially those individuals who have the talent and the unique personality that could be the next Democrat leader to bring the message. As much as we detest Donald Trump, there is no doubt that he is a master at manipulation and populist propaganda.

Unfortunately on the Left with rare exceptions like Obama, we don't have anyone with that talent willing to step away from their safe lucrative jobs and security to make it happen.

I don't excuse myself either. Now I'm an old creaker - as a younger man I sat around on my ass and posted in forums and didn't get involved in local politics or make any effort to put any of my talents or abilities into fighting this war. And now, it is catching up with us. We are about to lose it all.

10. Everytime they* talk about Hunter Biden's laptop they are giving a Russian talking point.

* The GOP & Fox

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2021/03/trump-russian-asset-election-intelligence-community-report.html

A New Report Adds Evidence That Trump Was a Russian Asset
He helped Putin manipulate the U.S. election in 2020, as he did in 2016.

Attacks on Biden and his son, Hunter, were part of this operation. Through “US officials and prominent US individuals, some of whom were close to former President Trump and his administration,” the report says Russia’s intelligence services “repeatedly spread unsubstantiated or misleading claims about President Biden and his family’s alleged wrongdoing related to Ukraine.” In this way, Trump’s circle “laundered” the Russian-planted stories, which were then recirculated—and promoted by Russia’s online proxies—as American news.

13. When are Democrats going to learn the power of propaganda?

The Right has run rings around Democrats and average everyday Americans with their total mastery of the propaganda machine.

Why don't we do what the OP is proposing? Is it because of the fractured nature of the Democratic party? Lack of a leader willing and able to develop a populist message to counter Trump and all the other talking heads from Limbaugh to Hannity to Carlson?

The Left seems to be mired in the fantasy that just because we have "truth on our side" that magically we will be able to counter the popularity of the lies and conspiracy fantasies spun by the Fascist Right.

It's not just Democrats. It's the 1/2 of the voting public that didn't even bother to vote in 2016 that need to wake the **** up.

What people are not willing to accept is that we are at WAR, this is NOT politics as usual. Our very freedoms are at stake, our futures, our children's and grand-children's future - everything that we hold dear in your life.

Like the OP is saying - it is long past time to break out the big guns, the propaganda weapons that are at our disposal. What are we waiting for?

20. They supported communism.

Say NATO = Freedom & Democracy

Voting against it supports Putin & Communism

They keep hitting us with "Socialism," in this case we need to hit back with "Communism"

ATTN DNC Chairman Jamie Harrison, please follow the advice of another genius level DUmmy, PLEASE!!!
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

So, what in that "Support For NATO" resolution did those Rs voted against. The few "news" stories I found said nothing about those Rs' reason(s) for their vote ... which I take to mean they had good reasons for their vote (the MSM hide or bury what they don't want known when politics are in view).

  • Democracy can survive anything except Democrats
Most people, other than a few zealots at DU, care about any of this so feel free to make an election issue out of this. It will get lost in the shuffle of raising gas prices, inflation that seems to be heading for recession, and a completely open southern border with illegals and fentanyl pouring across it.

I am far more concerned with what Brandon 's insane policies are doing to my 401K than some vote against supporting NATO.

17. Absolutely wrong

It doesn’t matter if most people say they’re “pro-NATO” or “anti-Russia”. Almost no voters are going to rank that opinion so highly that it would be the driving factor on their vote choice. We will win or lose based on how voters feel about themselves based on kitchen table economics.

FWIW, I discussed messaging with him last week, and I can tell you DNC will be leaving this up to campaign committees and candidates.

To summarize:  The primitive Booklynite, as the superior of the primitive Botany within the Dem party structure, is told that's not going to happen, was told this directly by the party chair, and relays that info to them. Yet the Botany primitive continues to goose-step in the wrong direction.

Yes, avoidance of inconvenient facts on issues Americans care about is the winning message.  :whatever: Do you want Donald Trump (or someone else like him) to be president again? Because that's how you get Donald trump as president again.

The democrats' fear their ability to control narratives is disintegrating, and they're right.

Here is the text of the resolution, https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-resolution/831/text . Other than being a virtue-signaling load of time-wasting blather, I don't see any particular reason to vote for or against it.

  • (D)Ummie nightmare.
These 'people' are silly.

Nothing dems could offer is going to matter to the majority who are getting hosed by inflation, high energy priices, and all the other high prices that come from those things.

You're not buying your way out of this one, DUmmies.
