Quote
The liberals are DESPERATE for Attorney General Merrick Garland to act in a completely political manner and indict President Donald Trump BEFORE the midterm elections. Sleepy Joe has caused so much havoc on America both economically and socially that they see such a phony indictment as the only way to stave off big election losses in November.

The good news for Merrick Garland is that he doesn't even have to build a real case against Trump. He can just present a bunch of easily disprovable charges since the goal is an indictment, even if it is completely phony, for purely political reasons before the midterm elections. Therefore, the liberals and media need not worry. They can count on Garland to act on an entirely POLITICAL manner before the midterm elections.

So prepare for the liberals and their media allies to go into full "WORSE THAN WATERGATE" Drama Queen mode over the political indictment by Garland despite the fact it will be in reality a legal Nothingburger.

And if he doesn't? Does he get thrown under the bus and become the latest democrat hero-to-zero story?

If that’s truly what they believe, then they’re thankfully on the wrong track. This will rouse up their kook base, but they’re going to vote anyway. What this will do is cause the common voter to ask why they’re doing this instead of laser focusing on inflation and high food/gas prices.

They seriously believe indicting Trump would divert folks' memories of Afghanistan, the whacked out spending that caused inflation and the policies that caused gas prices to skyrocket?

They're DUmp Monkies. They believe :rotf: they're the most intelligent among us, and if they're as easily distracted whenever their political masters scream about the sky falling as they know themselves to be, then obviously us Reich Wing rubes must be at least as much so.  :mental:

What saved Clinton from rightfully getting slammed was that the economy was hot because of all the new jobs in tech and the increasing interest and use by the public of the internet. No hot economy, Clinton would have gone down.

Biden doesn't have that in his favor. The worldwide bond market got crushed in the first quarter of this year. Interest rates are going up. We're entering a bear market that's barely a cub at this point. People don't care about 1/6. Given how bad things will get and how unpopular Biden is going to be, they'll probably wish the supposed "insurrection" would have worked.

Correct me if I'm wrong; while IANAL, wouldn't it be a serious violation of legal ethics for a prosecutor to bring spurious charges in order to try to influence an election?

You're presuming there's any leftist scumbag within 300km of the Giant Cess Pool on the Potomac that might still have something remotely resembling a legal ethic rattling around up in their skulls.

Point taken; it was really more of a philosophical exercise.............

Clinton also lucked out in the Dot-Bomb recession only starting in 2000, when people's attention hadn't yet been grabbed by it. In people's minds, it started in 2001, under GWB.
