Was "GI Jane" joke really about a medical condition?

Or was it about the clothes she was wearing?

Chris Rock can be offensive, we know from his past comments.

But, was Will Smith really defending his wife or was he just lashing out in a violent way to something he did not like?

In my opinion, this entire incident is a small dichotomy of what is wrong with the world. It is like Putin invading Ukraine, on a much smaller scale. It was like the insurrectionists attacking our Capitol because they did not like the results of an election. It is a sign of our times. The first thought is to react with violence.

In my opinion, that is the bigger issue.

This is all more or less an episode of a DUmmy game show we didn't need called "Quien es Mas Negro?" Looks like Will Smith is winning, because Chris Rock has done routines where black people are criticized.

Who gives a shit.

On one hand, it's the latest distraction.  On the other hand, there's a more facets to it than a percentile die.  Issues like verbally insulting one's wife should be on the short list reasons to respond to words with violence.  But does a bad joke count as a verbal assault?  Is a formal event like the Oscars the place for such a response?  Smith's actions feed male stereotypes, and black male stereotypes.  Should those be encouraged or should they be discouraged?  Did Rock do the right thing, taking his shot and moving on?

It's one of those events that in and of itself is mostly a so what, but could be used to start some interesting discussions.

I'm willing to bet that this is nothing more than the organizers of the Oscars concerned about the long standing trend of declining viewership, and those organizers turning to a couple of ACTORS and asking them to do something to generate some gossip around the water cooler this morning.

Attention whores, whoring for attention in other words.

I doubt Chris Rock would agree to participate in something so stupid and farcical. I bet there's a lot behind the scenes that we don't know, all of which has to do with his wife's round heels and the knowledge that she's been railed by many.

Imagine how pissed Will would be if his wife was Kamala! Jada is a virgin in comparison.  :p

Reddit is entertaining today after it.  Dumping much disturbing dirt about Will and Jada, defending Chris Rock for taking the shot and moving on, funny memes, dank memes, asking why Will Smith wasn't arrested on the spot, some calling it rich privilege, comments that this is what the Oscars need to do to get viewers, pointing out that Will was laughing at first.  The event and the responses are interesting pictures into society.

Holy cow, the media actually reported about black on black crime!  Perhaps they could grow a pair and check on this type of activity in Chicago/Philadelphia/NYC/Baltimore, etc.

... asking why Will Smith wasn't arrested on the spot, some calling it rich privilege ...

All I know is Jada's wife slapped the shit out of Chris Rock.

Will Smith's Chris Rock slap at Oscars was 'choreographed Hollywood display'

Will Smith's brutal smack of Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars ceremony was a "choreographed Hollywood display", one body language expert says.

Celebrity psychic and body language expert Inbaal Honigman has explained that the incident comes off as a "back-slapping display" which saw the two men appear "dignified" and "leisurely" - at least on the surface.

In the now viral clip, Chris aimed a joke at Will's wife Jada Pinkett Smith, suggesting she could star in the G.I. Jane sequel after opting to shave her head during her battle with alopecia.

A furious Will stormed onto the stage, cuffed Chris across the face and retreated, yelling at him to: "Keep my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth!"

BLM and the group of fascists called “antifa” are perfect examples of reacting with violence over thinking.

As for Will Smith and Chris Rock; Democrat on Democrat crime. Needs to be more of it.

If it were some stranger on the street, or a neighbor who came over for a barbeque, and they started making disparaging jokes about the wife, that would be one thing. But Will and Jada Smith have decades of show business experience between them. They know the game. They know the job of stand up comedians is to puncture egos, and some of those egos are going to belong to someone who has a husband or wife. They also know no one is immune, and that 99% of the time it's nothing personal. To cast all of that aside for some misplaced attempt to put on a show of machismo is ridiculous. I'll bet Smith has been listening to CR for years and laughing his jug-eared head off at his insults towards others. Yet he felt entitled to lay a hand on the comedian when the barbs came his way. That's bullshit.

Smith has some deep issues that go beyond a one-off joke about his privileged wife's hair. I suspect it all comes down to his cuck status and he is desperate to still think of himself as a man. So he lashes out against something that happens a thousand times a day in comedy venues across the country.

If it was just the one episode it would be meaningless, but stand up comedy has been under assault for a while now from the hypersensitive leftist dweebs to the point that a lot of big name comedians won't even play campus venues anymore. The one non-pharmaceutical thing that allows us a moment's respite from the anxiety and horrors of life by being able to laugh about them for a few minutes in a dark room is one more thing "progressives" want to destroy. They have absolutely zero sense of humor about themselves or any of life's foibles. Their entire constellation of "humor" revolves around vile, graffiti-level mocking of those not in political lockstep with them.

**** them and their attempts to turn the World into one big, gray environment of sameness.
