Normally I would just block and not say a word to any of my nutjob relatives I do not know well. Sadly this cousin I've known since I was a kid and we always chatted. So this was a little difficult to just block outright. For good. I removed you as a friend after you decided to attack me after voicing my opinion about the protection of transgender children in Texas. And not because you had to attack me with your talking points, you went for the jugular and said I was mentally ill and also a corrupted sinner. At that point, I have had it with your hatefulness. We are no longer family. I have family and friends here who support me no matter what because they care for my well being and happiness. You only care about your hate and fear of others that are not like you. I've tried to see from your perspective and all I see is red, ignorance, and hate. And I cannot be around that any longer. But I needed to make it clear and loud that she ruined the only relationship she had left here. She turned all her other relatives against her when she labeled Democrats as nazi's. That flew one of my cousins off the rails at her since his wife is Jewish. That was a nasty fight in the comment section...

Basically what the OP is saying is that the OP started ignoring his/her cousin and the cousin didn't care enough to ask about it, so the OP felt the need to send a message to make sure the cousin understood how he/she ran afoul of the OP.I think that pretty much sums it up.

I have a retired multi-millionaire brother who is as liberal as liberal gets. His kids are worse than he is.That said, at family gatherings, politics is verboten. He did unfriend me on facebook because I'm pro-Trump and 2A, but that never comes up when the family gathers.
Unfortunately, with a DUmbass, it's always politics uber alles with family ties a distant last place.
