The ban-hammer falls on brooklynite
« on: March 01, 2022, 02:44:43 AM »
As expected, DU is trying to circle the wagons to avoid criticism of Biden's mishandling of the Russia-Ukraine fiasco (as well as all of Biden's other screw-ups).  Brooklynite dared post this poll, which shows Americans are pretty much sick of witnessing Joe's failures:

62 percent of voters say Putin wouldn't have invaded Ukraine if Trump were president: poll

Source: The Hill

A majority of American voters say that Russian President Vladimir Putin would not have invaded Ukraine had former President Trump still been in office, according to a new survey released on Friday.

A new Harvard Center for American Political Studies (CAPS)-Harris Poll survey released Friday found that 62 percent of those polled believed Putin would not be moving against Ukraine if Trump had been president. When looking strictly at the answers of Democrats and Republicans, 85 percent of Republicans and 38 percent of Democrats answered this way.

However, 38 percent of all Americans polled believed that Putin would have invaded Ukraine even if Trump had been president.

A majority of Americans polled — 59 percent — also said they believed that the Russian president moved on Ukraine because Putin saw weakness in President Biden, while 41 percent said that it was not a factor in Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine.

Now Brooklynite is an obnoxious, pretentious, insufferable ass, but he also takes a reasonable view towards how the Democrats are performing and what that means in upcoming elections.  He also seems to have at least a little bit of inside information into the Democrat Party workings and access to at least some politicians (although much of his name dropping is dubious at best).  But a 20 year old account, insider information and who knows how much money he's donated over the years was not enough to protect him for daring to point out that Slo-Joe is circling the drain.  A warning to all the moles, do not dare express any reality on DU.  As far as Biden and Harris go, the DUmmies have officially embraced painting happy faces and rainbows on all the White House failures.

Looked like it was Late Breaking News to me.

Like you said, beware of posting real information on DU or you will be banned.

Earl will most likely actually review that one because I'm willing to bet brooklynite donated to DU and probably a lot more than most of them.

This is why they're surprised when stuff happens that they poo poo'd.

As expected, the DUmmies discounted the poll, calling it stupid and invalid.  They fail to recognize that EVERY poll out there shows about 60%+ of people disapprove of everything Dementia Joe does.  This one is entirely consistent.  Bury your heads deeper, DUmmies, I don't care.

This is par for the course for them.

For example, they’ve spent the first 5 days of the Russia-Ukraine war talking about how the Ukrainian military are killing thousands and shooting down planes and how Russian soldiers are angry at their leaders and wanting to leave and how Ukraine is winning.

Then they get the report that’s there Russian armament heading towards Kiev that’s 40 miles long.

It’s like watching children. Always has been. brooklynite knows this and knows better, but for some reason he can’t help himself.

It is not just the 75 IQers of the DUmp. It is the entire demo-fascist party denying what the Biden junta has done to our country in 13 months. I hope they continue to live not just in the state of denial but on the planet of denial. Now if the republicants would do something affirmative on ballot harvesting and illegal voting... but they won't.

Maybe DU's dinosaurian forum SW lacks the function, but most forum SWs I've used (and been a Mod in some) allow Mods to move threads to more appropriate forums, if appropriate. I've done it scores of times. So unless DU's dinosaurian forum SW lacks that basic moderation function, locking the topic was a political act, not forum Moderation.

I've not noticed brooklynite being an "obnoxious, pretentious, insufferable ass", but I haven't studied DU-folk that much. But I have noticed in threads here that he is far more realistic than the average DUmmie and frequently pees on DUpipo's Snoopy-dances. IOW, brooklynite has probably for 2 decades walked the border between posting useful accurate information and being a constant irritation (by being accurate).

Is FFR always a permanent limbo status? Or do FFRed members ever emerge to post again?

I believe it depends on the poster.  IIRC, Discnt-Irny-Sarcsm (I think that's close) got FFR'd a few months ago for "speaking Truth to Power" but has since been restored.

dummy "brooklynite" is a true limousine liberal, lives in luxury in Manhattan. He always thought of himself as better than the rest of the dummies, and he's probably right. He will probably be gone forever, and his money.

As others have pointed out, he's a limousine liberal who is constantly talking about how rich he is and how much money he donates to politicians.  I find the manner in which he presents himself in this manner "obnoxious and pretentious".  As far as "insufferable", his constant name-dropping and "look at me" posts passed the point of annoying a long time ago.  Particularly, because the source of all his supposed wealth is his wife.  He is a transportation planner for NYC, which isn't a particularly lucrative, nor interesting, job.  So outside of talking about how he spends his wife's money, his conversation topics are reduced to talking about water leakage in subway tunnels.  As far as being an "ass", he's a DUmmy so that's self-explanatory.

Some FFR'ed members have been allowed back in but I don't know about this one.  It's doesn't appear he got banned due to hides, which means EarlG would have had to manually FFR him.  But he may beg his way back on with the provision of a sufficient "donation".  He would, of course, be required to quit introducing facts into their echo-chamber.

I wasn't contradicting your assessment. :cheersmate: DU certainly has its share of name-droppers with "boring" jobs. My job is "boring", but I'm not into name-dropping (the names I could drop would be obscure, except to some geekasoid life-forms) or wealth flaunting (not that I have much, :-) ).
