Goes on to point out that we should start another org... and leave a bunch of countries out.... Because... Reasons.

Also... They want this new body to punish those they dislike...

Seems to me the UN has been rather ineffective in this crisis....

With Russia having a key seat and a veto on the Security Council, seems to be very little this body can do to assist Ukraine.

I think the world needs a different organization--a "United Democracies," if you will--that includes all the democracies of Europe, Asia, Africa, Americas, countries who support an international rule of law, a democratic order, human rights, and other principles of democracy in the world. Such an organization could more broadly and effectively punish the rule-breakers like Russia, North Korea, and the other bad actors/dictators in the world.

I'd be interested in DUers' perspectives on this.

Like everything else, the UN is only useful to leftists inasmuch as it’s able to forcefully carry out their authoritarian agenda. Minus that, it serves no useful purpose.

Yep, the UN is a failure by its design. Russia is a permanent Security Council member. They can veto anything.

Just like Hitler and Musso were able to expose the League of Nation's toothlessness.

I'm not a Bircher, but I favor UNExit, the US from the UN, and the UN from the US.

Come on guys. Don't be so hard on the DUmbass DUches, Joey Brandon didn't even know this. He touted how he was getting the UNSC to an emergency meeting to put out some kind of strongly worded letter and somehow thought Russia wouldn't veto it I guess.
