Another fake hate crime in Californiahttps://hotair.com/jazz-shaw/2022/02/21/another-fake-hate-crime-in-california-n449972We’ve seen enough of these stories over the past several years to make them hardly worth mentioning, but the response to this incident by both the media and the Sacramento school district where it took place merits a closer look. The “hate crime” in question took place at C.K. McClatchy High School on February 11th. Someone spray-painted the words “colored” and “white” above a pair of drinking fountains at the school, suggesting racial segregation during the Jim Crow era. An investigation was immediately launched to determine who could have perpetrated such an outrageous, racist desecration of the school. Unfortunately for the perpetrator, the vandalism was caught on camera. And unfortunately for those who were loudly pointing to it as yet another example of racial intolerance in America, the graffiti had been applied by a female, Black teenage student who is not being named because she is a minor.
AFAIK. California, as a state, never had Jim-Crow-style whites-only and "coloreds"-only facilities. My earliest memories only go back to the late 50s, but I know from their casual talk about classmates that in the late 20s and early 30s my parents' elementary schools and high school were unsegregated (e.g., when they mentioned classmate
"______ Fong", I knew they had classmates of Chinese heritage). I doubt that blacktivists and victimologists would teach their students/children facts inconvenient to their Victim Ideology and Identity.
I do know, from a family history story, that CA had an anti-miscegenation law that apparently was still on the books into the 1950s, but from knowledge of families of some of my 1950s-born classmates, it was not being enforced in the 1950s. Re the family story, my very tanned uncle, when applying for a marriage license, was asked about his ancestry by a moronic officious courthouse bureaucrat. It was several years before I was born, but in telling of his ancestry I hope he let the bureaucrat know what a moron (s)he was (he was US-born Volga German and his first language was German ... Germans tend to be a rather direct or blunt culture).
