Pull the car parts plants out of Canada...
If they don't take action to move those right wing assholes out of the way of the supply chain.

And while we're at it, throw up military checkpoints and cordon off D.C. at the first hint of those fools approaching.

After January 6th, America should know better.

Gee, what could possibly go wrong with a bunch of right wing terrorists driving tractor TRAILERS into the Capitol?

1. Sure. That couldn't take more than a day or two. NT

6. If I were management

Of a U.S. auto manufacturer losing money because of a government tolerating this crap, it's sure as hell what I would tell them.

I didn't think bananas could grow in a republic like Canada.

2. They would rather antagonize the left into pulling the trigger first.

That is why no shots were fired from the Jan 6th. Insurectionists.

3. I agree with you %100

And if we have to, put snipers on the rooftops to stop any truck that drives toward any gov building.

7. Yes, I agree with you on both counts.

I am getting really sick of ‘good guys’ obeying rules and laws and these nut-case right wing nutjob terrorists dictating my ability to sleep at night.

There are times where the authorities really need to take action. We saw peaceful protests being met with teargas, rubber bullets and billy-clubs because home-grown militia started to cause trouble. When are the authorities going to stop the true terrorists? We can’t WAIT until things get out of control like they did on January 6th, and then spend millions on investigations and trials that go on forever.

12. Stopping trucks

From entering DC under these circumstances would hardly be "breaking the rules".

It's a national security threat.

As far as shooting goes, as long as someone stops for the nice soldiers at the checkpoint, and turns their dumb trumptard ass around when told to, they miss this years Darwin award.

9. So, check "pro-labor" on the list of things That can and will be jettisoned for disliked speech.

Is it the internet that does this? Just being in the bubble? Where responses authoritarian and extreme are just acceptable if the other side does something?

You know authoritarianism is rarely a controlled beast. When you erode norms to allow for it, that fist will swing back our way.

I suspect it would be disliked at first contact and the cries would be cacophonous.

So maybe don't advocate for these things? Let's try reason and liberal values on for size. Just for a change of social media pace. See if our old clothes still fit.

14. Perhaps the Teamsters And FASH and other non trumptard unions can be persuaded to have a friendly chat with these poor misguided freedumb fighters.

27. So, adding slurs of the disabled to the list

I really wish people could see how they sound.

I'm not sure what it will take for awareness to come. The Right is near to drowning, and now I'm just kind of watching how many of us it can successfully drag down with it.

More than I was hoping for at this point.

25. Pro-labor?

Are you suggesting this is an organic "labor" protest of some kind?

https://teamsters.ca/en/blog/2022/02/07/the-real-enemy-for-truckers-is-covid-19/

Teamsters Canada is proud to represent over 55,000 professional drivers from diverse industries across the country, approximately 15,000 of which are long haul truck drivers, 90% of whom are vaccinated.

The so-called “freedom convoy” and the despicable display of hate lead by the political Right and shamefully encouraged by elected conservative politicians does not reflect the values of Teamsters Canada, nor the vast majority of our members, and in fact has served to delegitimize the real concerns of most truck drivers today.

28. Pulling auto plants?

You know autoworkers are the heart of many labor movements. Advocating for punishing them - and those workers when most of them aren't involved - because you don't like this protest is . . . what? Pro-labor? The right thing to do? A completely reasonable reaction?

Really think about the mindset required for some of these arguments.

What are you fighting for, if the solution is to burn villages?

10. How would that make any sense?

This trucker thing is a temporary mess. It would take months or years to physically move those parts facilities out of Canada and into the US.

Nobody will even consider what you suggest. It is literally impossible to do in any sort of sane time frame. The trucker thing will be over soon, and parts will once again flow.

15. Should we let Them bring trailers into D.C.?

How long would it take to starve a city like DC into submission if the truckers blockaded the city? Less than 2 weeks.

18. That has nothing to do with your suggestion.

I suspect that no such thing will occur, actually. However, planning is no doubt underway to deal with it if it did happen. Same with the Super Bowl. There might be some truckers thinking about causing a ruckus there. I suspect such a thing will not be allowed in any way.

But, the blockages in Canada are something very different, and your suggestion that factories be moved over it is completely out of the question.

31. Military checkpoints?

What could possibly go wrong with that idea?

You know, the more attention those idiots get, the more they will push.
I don't like what they are doing, and I specially don't like why they are doing it, but we need to keep our wits about us.
If we start crossing the lines suggested, it is a turning point in the wrong direction for all Americans.
Besides, pulling billion dollar businesses out of Canada is something that Canadians might have an opinion about.

1. Trade treaties aside, Star Moron orangecrush clearly has no clue how long it takes to build/adapt, equip, and staff a manufacturing facility.

2. Equally clearly, Star Moron orangecrush ASSumes that US truckers would not act in support of Canuckian truckers.

3. It takes a DUmmie ...

Economically, the differences between Hitler and Stalin were:

* Stalin shot business owners or sent them to a Gulag, while Hitler kept them alive and operating, in golden cages;

* Hitler crushed unions, while Stalin made them puppets of the government factory managers.

IOW, differences in style, but the same government-run economy.

I thought walls and barricades were racist and didn't work...   :fuelfire:

like the abortion issue, vaccine mandates have become another hill for the left and DUmmies to die on.  The rest of us normal people have accepted that not everyone will take the jab and are getting on with our lives without any worry about those who are pro-choice in regards to covid and vaccinations.

I wondered out loud in another thread that if President Trump had slapped a national masking mandate back in March 2020 if the DUmmies would be so fanatical about masks as they are now or would they be marching in the streets, declaring they have the right to chose what they put on their bodies.  Same for a national vaccine mandate, had a vaccine been available in early 2020, although both brandon and harris tipped their hands on the campaign trail when they made public comments about how they would not want to take a vaccine that was recommended by the Trump administration.

The DUmmies reveled in the RESIST! movement all throughout President Trump's term because dissent was patriotic back then and #OrangeManBad ruled the day.

Now we have an unpopular, demented, and incontinent old fool squatting in the White House and an incompetent whore masquerading as the VP and the left is demanding absolute and unquestioning loyalty and obedience to their illegal and unscientific mandates.
Biden is an illegitimate President.  Change my mind.

Police lives matter.
