First of all, Republicans are on the defensive.

Democrats need to understand their position.

It is they that attacked our Capitol. It is they that have to lie and cover-up about their roles on January 6th.

It is they that have to explain their plots and conspiracies. It is they that tried to over-turn an election.

It is they that want to forget about January 6th and move on. It is they that are attacking Joe Biden and the Democrats, in hopes people will not notice their horrendous crimes.

It is they that are trying to whitewash and sweep under the rug their involvement and actions in regards to their seditious behavior.

It is they that pretend they have nothing to worry about.

They are on the defensive and they are scared to death that the voters will wake up and see the truth. And they will be thrown out of office in disgrace.

That is what they are afraid of.

Democrats should understand their position of strength.

8. Out of all the crap they spew out if their ivermectin holes...

They get away with it
Even if the next thing they say is completely contradictory
They get away with it

They finally stepped into it with LPD
They are in a rare position where they have to scramble for damage control

It would be foolish to let this opportunity pass

3. They are changing the subject and declaring victory on masks

All over talk radio especially. I’ve heard it on Beck and our local drive time shows. Everyone agrees that they were right all along EVERYONE all their liberal friends and Bill Maher.

6. If they are now feeling safer, it is because of science.

And the fact that Democrats were willing to follow the advice of scientists and experts while they were indulging in superstition and insane "remedies". If the virus is finally going away, they get very little credit for it. They only made it last longer.

4. They're smug like they've won the midterms when in fact we've got them on the back foot.

We should keep punching. No matter how delusional they get we need to stay grounded. Many of them are terrified that white people will be in the minority and people of color might start treating white people the same way they have always treated Black people. It’s irrational

12. Republicans are desperate and afraid. And as more and more voters "wake up and see the truth,"

the more destructive, divisive and dishonest their political rhetoric will become.

14. Everything you posted is spot on Kentuck,

but they own the MSM. I don't watch cable news until Nicolle comes on, but I'm betting that Trump burning and tearing up documents is already past history.

First of all, it is not republicans whoo are changing the subject.

Secondly, democrats are ceding ground on masks, that is why republicans are declaring victory. Of course, democrats are liable to cover their assess by claiming that's because of changing data (yeah right, data that sows they're in for a drubbing in November).

Third, so-called "science deniers" have been right on a lot of count. They were right there would be vaccine mandates. They were right that the virus would become endemic, and that human intervention cannot stomp it out. There is evidence they were right about the potential harms to kids because of masking and missed school. And so on.

So what changed? Democrats didn't convince the unvaccinated to get vaccinated. What are they going to do, pivot and claim they never needed nearly as many people to get vaccinated as they claimed they needed?

This is not just whistling past the graveyard.  This a 76 Trombones sized band parading past the graveyard.

The Red Wave is a given - even by lefty political pundits.  The democrats are trying to make moves to slow down the inevitable impeachment and dismantling of pretty much every ad hoc committee starting with the silly 1/6 ones.

What imaginative little realities they build for themselves when the original becomes too much to bear.
"Be not intimidated... nor suffer yourselves to be wheedled out of your liberties by any pretense of politeness, delicacy, or decency. These, as they are often used, are but three different names for hypocrisy, chicanery and cowardice." - John Adams
