These trump mopes simply are not numerous enough. Sure, there are about 30 percent of the Republican Party who support trump. Note: not 30 percent of Americans. These are mentally damaged to one degree or another and think that they can force their will and illness upon the rest of America through threat of violence.

A vanishingly small percentage of them are capable of violence. Once they start acting out they will be squashed. Most, once the actual trouble starts will vanish like fog in sunshine. There are few countries on earth, let alone vigilante groups hiding in the woods, capable of challenging America’s contemporary existence and governmental form.

Locally, yes, a few acts of violence may occur. Nothing even remotely close to what would be required to actually overthrow America. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 percent of Americans are Democratically aligned. Many will say they are moderate or undecided, but when push comes to shove they will completely come down on the side of our republic, not anarchy and chaos. The right wing, read Republicans, will be shit stained with these radical associations.

Our system of government has always produced malcontents who think they know what is best for everyone else: witness trump and McConnell. But neither of them would EVER pick up a weapon and commit themselves to the defense of their ideas let alone the defense of our nation. These people by definition are abject cowards. Our constitution allows them the room to vent as long as all they do is vent.

There will be no massive up swelling of national vision to destroy our constitution and way of life. What we are seeing is really a mostly media driven frenzy, driven by the need for attention grabbing headlines which translate into cash. The media is actually in the end going to be what helps bring down the most dangerous anti-governmental nutjobs because these people want more than anything is to feel powerful and in control. What better way than to get 20 seconds of fame via media exposure than through crazed behavior.

We do have serious challenges, political and social, but they can be addressed with leadership that sees our nation as a positive place for human endeavor, not as a sewer for hate, violence and oppression.

2. All of this is true at this time. If Trump is elected again, the Army, etc would not be available to stop civil unrest. I honestly believe Trump would do everything he could to start and maintain a civil war. His mindset is the opposite of Lincoln (sp) whose goal was to save the Union. Trump could care less about the union.

Next time we hold three branches, we need to pass a law, even if in jest, that dictates that whenever a gun confiscation happens, that supporters in congress who voted for it are compelled by law to be at the front of the stack.
