I'm geeked. I couldn't get away from the TV.

If I die, someone move me to Chicago so I can still vote for McCain/Palin.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

keith is finding "holes" in her speech now.  one is that criticising community organizers is going to piss them all off.  the other is that revealing when her son is deploying is a violation of operational security.  and then something about the date of deployment.

desperate son of a bitch.  :whatever:  he couldn't get his mouth off barack obama's male organ after his speech.  :-)

I just watched a recording of tonights convention.

Sarah sure hit a grand slam.  I love the fact that she really took the gloves off and slammed Obama.

I think people have been wondering for months what the hell a community organizer does.  I know I did, and it wasn't especially easy to figure out.

No, tell the druggies that they don't qualify for welfare because THE MAN is holding them down and encourages them to take a shit on the public capitol building steps.

apparently, the OPs boyfriend was a community organizer and people started piling on saying, "sarah has drawn a firm line in the sand... the community organizers of the US will let her have it come election time!!"

I thought Sarah knocked it out of the park.

Rudy was awesome too. He's a great public speaker.

I'm sure I'll have more thought after my coffee kicks in.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Had to work last night so I missed it, but good thing Fox has video. Watching the clip of Rudy right now.

"A community organizer??" LOL! DAYUM!!!! Rudy is really ripping the Obamessiah apart! Especially all of Obama's "Present" votes. What kind of idiot votes "present" 130 times?? From what I've read, Palin's speech was good too, but ya gotta love the AP and Reuters with all the Bristol Belly Shots..... figures.

I'd love to hear how this is playing to people who don't want to vote for McCain. Has she changed your mind?

The speech, and Sarah generally, played very well with my wife and I, both of which had no interest in McCain before he signed her onto the ticket.  We were leaning strongly to Bob Barr.

Help people sign up for foodstamps, welfare, extend unemployment benefits, ya know, helping people find a way to buck the system and milk taxpayers.

most people dont... but if you listen carefully to Obama's people when they talk about it, it was 'more than 20 years ago' which would make him early 20s and right out of college.

this is one of those 'resume enhancing' jobs that college kids think will help them down the road. it may or may not, but its mostly about relationships and doing the grunt work for the leaders in the community. its a dues paying thing. that's all.

but yes, lest we besmirch the Community Organizers of America, we shall fall back and stop critisizing Obama on this most specialized field he toiled in ..lo those many long weeks..  :whatever: :-)

Highlights of Rudy's speech last night

Quote
"On the other hand, you have a resume from a gifted man with an Ivy League education," Giuliani said of Obama. "He worked as a community organizer, and immersed himself in Chicago machine politics. Then he ran for the state legislature, where nearly 130 times he was unable to make a decision yes or no. He simply voted 'present.'"

Giuliani said he was never afforded such a luxury as mayor of New York City and Obama is in for a rude awakening if he thinks he can take that kind of cavalier approach into the White House.

"When you're President of the United States, you can't just vote 'present,'" Giuliani said. "You must make decisions."

"So, our opponents want to reframe the debate. They would have you believe that this election is about change versus more of the same. But that's really a false choice because 'change' is not a destination ... just as "hope" is not a strategy."

Giuliani also intimated that Obama is a politician who changes his position to suit his own interests.

"How many times have we seen Barack Obama do that? Obama was going to take public financing for his campaign, until he didn't. Obama was against wiretapping before he voted for it. When speaking to a pro-Israel group, Obama favored an undivided Jerusalem, until the very next day when he changed his mind.

"I hope for his sake, Joe Biden got that VP thing in writing."
