Huh.  They must have bumped Lingle up.  There was supposed to be a musical break followed by Lingle and Giuliani.

On C-Span, it says Giuliani is next, or will be up in the next few minutes.

She's hitting all the right notes, but she is kinda dry.

According to Drudge, Sarah Palin's speech is supposed to run 40 minutes, and it's a real barn-burner.

I dunno if that's too long or not, but one hopes it's full of zest and vigor.

You know what? I wish Ms. Palin would get somebody to babysit the little one. Bristol is soon to have her own baby. Every time we see Bristol she is holding the baby. Maybe Dad could hold the baby. Just a thought. I feel sorry for Bristol.

It's practice. Sounds like responsible parenting to me.  :uhsure:
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

I don't get why people feel so bad for Bristol.  It's not like something horrible happened to her.  Like a lot of seventeen-year-olds, she got pregnant, she has the support of a loving family, and apparently she's getting married to the babiy's father.

It's not like she was hit by a truck and is disfigured for life or got some rare terminal disease that will leave her in agony until she dies a horrible, painful death.  She's having a baby. I always thought that was supposed to be a joyous event.
