opportunity exploit it, along with their admiration for trump as a “leader”, a known con man and pathological liar

What I cannot understand is why don’t the Democrats push back aggressively on this, that the Republican Party is the party of trump, a known con man and liar all his worthless life, without any moral compass.

Because your Party desperately misses Trump.  You simply can't stop talking about him.  Your first visit to a psychiatrist would point to that conclusion.  One year under Biden and it's clear you're disgusted with his non-transparency and unquotable incoherence.  The 'BIG LIE' is you.

Lets see.

 5 dem controlled battleground districts all stopped counting and claimed to send people home, simultaneously.

Push back on that.

At least one D jurisdiction went over the heads of its own state congress, which is defacto unconstitutional, which that jurisdictions
D  courts neglected to rectify.

Push back on that.

Lastly, the D bill which seeks to make all covid related changes which enabled the above permanent - is bleedingly obvious.

Push back on that, douchebag.
