As have so many others here on DU, I have been pretty vocal in my impatience to see Merrick Garland lay down a mile of indictments to include TFG.

The counter to that sort of thinking is charging a former US President with . . . . what? . . . . treason? . . . . sedition? . . . . whatever, it needs to be absolutely airtight. There is no room for even a hint of doubt or room for legal wiggling.

So maybe Omar is the wisest man in the room on this one. And maybe Garland - a smart man himself - is following Omar's exhortation. To do it, it seems to me, requires absolute secrecy. Not the slightest of hints can leak out from the investigation.

So in my dream that mile of indictments against every one of them will come out in one spectacular press conference by the DOJ.

Is that too much to hope for?

The Wire was a TV show about drug dealers and cops in Baltimore. Pretty good, really.

Well, Stinky, Omar would have whacked you in The Wire.  The late Michael K. Williams (who portrayed Omar Little in the series) helped play one of the best anti-heroes in TV history.
