I live in a very red rural small town.

Was leaving local gym about half an hour ago, it had just gotten dark.

Was going up a hill toward the main highway, and headlights came up behind me, very close to my rear, and stayed there.

Slowed down and tapped my brakes LIGHTLY as a request for the driver to back off, this is deer country, if I had to stop he would hit me.

Then he let some space open up, and floored his truck (F-250, of course) and stopped just short of hitting me. He did this several times.

I waited till he dropped back again, signaled and pulled over.

He went around at full speed, almost hit me, and I saw the 2 large Trump flags flying from the bed.

Then he stopped dead in front of me.

"He's coming out with a gun" was my thought, I floored my little Honda and got around him.

He followed until I came to a well lit parking lot on the main road, which I entered and got my phone out to call 911.

Could have been drunk and a coincidence.

If it happens again, I'll know it isn't.

If you run into this, do not get out of your vehicle, go to a well lit area and call 911.

If they are truly nuts and approach you there, keep moving, lay on the horn till help arrives.

My adrenaline was pumping so hard I did not get a plate, but a bright red 250 with Trump flags isn't hard to remember.

I'm getting way too old for this kind of shit.

Yeah, it's a shame, but you have to assume they're all psychos these days. I know there are more Trumpers in some places than there are in others, but unfortunately, this whole country seems to have at least some of these Trump flag wavers, and I think most of them are unbalanced and dangerous. I was out in the desert with my classic dodge dart one time. This big rusty peterbilt Tanker with "let's go brandon" scrawled in the dust on the side chased me for what seemed like forever. I knew the guy had it out for me because I had my old biden 2020 bumper sticker on still.  I finally tricked him into driving into a canyon. True story.

Meh, partially plausible - tailgaters seldom respond nicely to their targets slowing and tapping their brakes (I'm stating a fact, not justifying the behavior) - partially obvious fictional embellishment (the Trump flags) ::) .

Three Cool Story Bros out of a possible five.

On weekdays, I typically see 1-4 jerky tailgaters. It's called commuting. Given the voting habits of Santa Clara County, there's a 75% chance with each that they're a Hillary/Biden-voting jerky tailgater. Being a jerk is a humans characteristic, not something peculiar to a particular political party.

We had to trick it into flying over a cliff then we blew it up with a bunch of TNT, and in the flames we saw the face of Trump saying 'make America great again"!

Where do you find those? Only Biden flags I've seen generally have the word **** in the lead off position.

Look, this story is complete horse hockey to quote Col. Potter from M*A*S*H.  Anyone who has any experience driving in rural America knows that cars drive faster or slower depending on the grade of the roads, unfamiliar area/road, level of darkness, etc.

The only part I believe is that this DUmmy was driving very slowly because they're a paranoid freakazoid and someone passed them which left them with massive case of butt-hurt.

I think Donald Trump owns it now.

I heard a story out of Florida where a bunch of little old ladies (little old ladies because you couldn't see them above the steering wheel) drove from a mobile Trump rally to the local biden/dnc outpost. They just drove around and around the building until their gas ran out. A rig with a big plastic Trump face over the grill turned up and ran over any liberals that tried to leave the building.
