It's a Jedi mind trick to convince us McAuliffe's loss means more than Murphy's win

...in conservative Chris Christie's former political stomping grounds.

Murphy became the first Democrat to win reelection as NJ gov in 44 yrs. An unabashed progressive , the two-term NJ governor already pushed through a $15 minimum wage, legal pot, free community college, voting rights for parolees and probation, and drivers licenses for undocumented immigrants.

With all vote centers reporting Tuesday night, Lujan was leading Democrat Frank Ramirez 51.2% to 48.8%, according to unofficial results. Lujan briefly held the seat in 2016, while Ramirez is a former staffer for the San Antonio City Council and at the Texas Legislature.

"I'm a blessed man to win this for the second time, and to be the only Republican ever to win this seat, I think, is really important for us down here," Lujan told The Texas Tribune as he left his election night party. He called his victory part of a "big movement ... for conservatism" in the Hispanic community.

I believe that we conservatives do understand the importance of Murphy's victory. That he won by so few votes against a republican he was expected to crush in a mostly liberal state is unheard of.

Let's see... VA was D+10 which resulted in a 2.5% win for Youngkin or NJ was D+16 and had Murphy barely win in a state the RNC thought there was no chance in. Tough call but I'd say the prospects are the Dems are gonna get curb stomped in '22 but that's just me.

GRAND JUNCTION — Limiting public comment at school board meetings, misspending of money, failure to a appoint a like-minded replacement for a vacated seat, and teaching of Critical Race Theory in the district was just too much for the parents of Mesa County School District 51.

So, over the past few months, they organized, canvased, made phone calls, and on Wednesday morning they celebrated their electoral efforts to change the philosophical makeup of the Mesa-51 school board.

“We grew a group of 25 of us to 600,” said Mesa resident Cindy Ficklin, who also recently announced her bid for House District 55, a seat currently held by Janice Rich, who has announced her intention to run for state senate.

Mesa-51 was not alone Tuesday in flipping school boards from the historically teacher-union controlled majorities to conservative majorities. Although it was mixed returns, with most of the metro Denver-area school districts remaining in teacher-union backed control, across the state the Colorado GOP claimed victory.

In fact, a wide-sweeping victory in Southern Colorado included several school districts in the Colorado Springs area, as well as in Douglas County, while Greeley/Evans School District 6 came close, with three of the four conservatives on that ballot taking over spots previously held by far-left board members.
