What makes it even more dramatic is that January - June, the numbers were typical.  Your damn right BLM was the root cause and, of course, the spineless big city mayors.

Actually, it looks like there was a somewhat lesser precedent in 2015 that carried into 2016, an aspect of the Ferguson Effect. Same underlying cause, though.
