…and should be covering some other story. It’s the 20th Anniversary of an extremely significant story. We can get back to Texas and COVID and January 6 on Sunday.

(I was in Lower Manhattan on 9/11 and ended up working several weeks at the City’s Emergency Operations Center. I had debris in my backyard for weeks)

They're worried the about the media covering the anniversary of 9/11 obsessively?

Just what the hell is so great about the media's coverage of COVID, 1/6, or Texas?

brooklynite is one of the few non-loony DU-folk, IMO. He steps on a lot of DUpipo's stupider "thoughts", beliefs, and inclinations. Among long-term DU-regulars he's probably the most Alerted. In this thread he's definitely trampling one of DU's most predictable inclinations - crapping on news they don't want to hear and demanding the coverage instead be for something they do want to hear. I expect brooklynite will again be one of DU's few Cassandras.

Former9thward is the same way. Can't remember if it's F9W or a different one who used to crap on their threads. Female former cop. Anyone remember?

That is the other DUer I had in mind as being non-loony, almost mentioned him/her by DU-name. I don't doubt their Dem credentials, they're just not crazy like the average DUer.
