This pregnancy swap story WILL grow legs. Too many facts just don't add up. Her daughter was out of school for 8 months during the same period! And the TX to AK flight story is simply.not.credible.

Don't get mad because it doesn't fit your idea of reality: Hell, it definitely doesn't fit mine. We are way too savvy to buy her cover up story. This might play well in small towns but she is in the big leagues now.

to distract everyone from the real problems that she brings to the table. Then when 'they' come out and prove that this is nothing more than a left wing rumor (that they seeded) and is nonsense, everyone looks stupid and they look clean as a whistle.

5. Let Obama and the surrogates focus on all the real issues which is change vs. Bush 3
But we on the net should be free to discuss whatever we choose, and if it gets to the MSM, so be it.

7. of course, this is exactly what worries me.
I am all for freedom to discuss anything. And i am interested in the outcome. I am just worried that we are being used - sent on a 'wild goose chase'

12. even if its true, we lose when we draw attention to it.
 its lose-lose

The trap: Palin's personal life is lose-lose for us.
http://journals.democraticunderground.com/whrab/15

So, you get her to admit the lie about her daughter's baby. That's great. Then, what???
http://journals.democraticunderground.com/whrab/17

C'mon people this is chess not checkers! We need to be able to see a more than one move ahead! THINK!
Think? That's dangerous talk at DU, n00b!

A couple of skeptical people wander into the thread ...

9. link to daughter being out of school for eight months?
Other than someone said that someone said?

And why would she be out of school for eight months?

10. the stupidity is mind numbing. YOU MAKE HER MORE SYMPATHETIC> there are no legs
 there's only DU'ers bullshitting endlessly.

You can't prove this. It won't be investigated.

15. Will this be McCain's Thomas Eagleton Moment?
Will this be John McCain's Thomas Eagleton moment, as when George McGovern forced his first running mate, Missouri US Senator Thomas Eagleton, to resign?

Will McCain's judgement be called into question, just as McGovern's was back in 1972?

Stay tuned!

Sigh. They are entertaining though. Things like this make it adundantly clear why the Democrats made Skinner build the island.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

The upside is that this is all they got. The downside is...God these people are despicable.
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

I have to admit that I, too, hope this story grows legs.

Really.

I do.

100% whole-heartedly.

Because then Palin can whip out her 30-06 and blow the ****in' thing away and mount it on her wall.

Look at the upside. As the smears by obama surrogates get more outlandish, they reflect increasingly poorly on him, since he has shown no inclination to reign in his more rabid bots. Since barry  condones the anti-Palin slanders, he won't have much room to complain when the various republican groups who are "unaffiliated" with McCain lay into his ugly past and that of his precious wife.

Sure...she can do that...just as soon as John Edwards gets done in the DNA testing lab.

Simple point of fact and I really even hate to give credence to their bull shit..... but If Obama's BC proved foreign birth, it would disqualify him from being POTUS.

You know what this house full of dweebs seems to be missing in all this speculation and rumor is the idea that John McCain and his staff and support system would not have checked out Mrs. Palin thoroughly ie if there was such a rumor even before she was announced, I feel pretty certain McCain's crew would have checked it out. The man has been in Washington for years and he knows all to well how scandal can destroy a campaign. The idea that he would have picked a running mate attached to something so scandalous is ridiculous. She would have been rejected as his running mate even on speculation BEFORE she was announced.

Not to mention the fact that these idiots forget that before they started this rumor mill there was no such speculation. Amazing how in the course of 2 or 3 days they've managed to make it a 'well known suspicion'. What a bunch of grade A assholes. :bird: I'm reminded of Frank's saying, "DUmmies lie! All the time, DUmmies lie!"

This whole episode reminds me of the "Jeff Gannon=Johnny Gosch" scandal they invented back in 85.

Someone mentioned Johnny Gosch in the same post as Jeff Gannon and they were off doing their Hardly Boys act to prove that it was true.

They even got their patron saint of election fraud (St. Andy) on an MSNBC show with that one.

25 years ago we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope.  Now we have Obama, no hope and no cash.

Even if you are loony enough to believe that things like rathergate and other stupidity is planted by the right.   Don't you ever stop to wonder why it works every single time?

you're right jty. as I said in another thread, this isn't child's play. Palin was fully vetted and all of the silly questions have already been asked in private.

Yep, if this impossible story about Trig were true, how would it affect Palin's eligibility?  It wouldn't.
