WESTWIND II: The plane became a point of ridicule against ex-Gov. Murkowski.

With an eBay account and about $2.5 million, you too can fly in the state jet that cost former Gov. Frank Murkowski so much political pain in his failed re-election campaign.

Gov. Sarah Palin announced Tuesday that she plans to sell the Westwind II online to the highest bidder.

Murkowski bought the jet over the objections of the Legislature. Before leaving office earlier this month, he regularly used it to travel around the state, sharing it with the Department of Public Safety.

While running against Murkowski, Palin promised to "get rid" of the aircraft. If eBay doesn't work, the state will try something else, she said Tuesday.

...

Palin said the Public Safety Department needs an aircraft that's more versatile then the Westwind II and that can land on more runways around rural Alaska.

She said she'll get around the far-flung state the same way previous governors have -- on commercial flights, and in the state's old King Air propeller planes, like the one she used to fly from Anchorage to Fairbanks on Tuesday.

Gee, maybe Obama does have more experience making him more ready for Washington DC. *cough*tonyrezko*cough*

This is not all: she resigned from the Alaskan Oil and Gas Commission to highlight the closed door dealings.

It's amazing, as long as Americans have whined about how broken the system is and how our elected yahoos have voted prvileges to themselves along comes someone like Gov. Palin and the best the liberals can offer is to fabricate the heinous of rumors about her and her family.

There was one thing that jumped out at me from another article you posted. It was the one where it compared Palin to BHO. Her proven record as a reformer needs to be highlighted by the GOP in their campaign. She has implemented selfless and meaningful change which puts America first - exposing conflicts of interest in her own party, vetoing bridges to nowhere, returning oil revenues to the citizens of the state of Alaska.

Meanwhile look at this very telling you-scratch-my-back-I-scratch-yours-politics-as-usual-among-the-elites:

Quote
Michelle O. was promoted and given 160% pay raise by UofC hospitals within months of husband's election to U.S. Senate;

Employer received $1,000,000.00 federal earmark, requested by husband, after her promotion

It makes one want to throw up.

Indeed.

As Oleg over at the Cube is fond of reminding us: the Soviets had a saying, "The issue isn't the issue. The revolution is the issue."

The end justifies their hypocrisy and corruption.

Excellent points guys. We have a thread here on Michelle's job and the hospital she worked in. Very troubling.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
