My wife got a call from work today...

Two of her conspiracy theory-believing, anti-vax, anti-mask, Trump-worshipping co-workers have Covid.

They all work together and share a small office.

I am furious. These two women have refused to get vaccinated because: covid is a hoax. It will make them sterile. it's no worse than the flu. Natural immunity works better than a vaccine. It's part of a Bill Gates depopulation "plandemic." The vaccine is not FDA approved...etc. etc.

They both came to work with symptoms. Chalked it up to allergies. They sit 4 feet from my vaccinated wife and mock her for wearing a mask and getting the shot. They are despicably stupid and arrogantly confidant people.

I don't give a shit about them but they exposed my wife to it. They exposed me to it. And I visited my 82-year-old step-father and 77-year-old mother, who has congestive heart failure after they did. We are all vaccinated.

One of them is pregnant, the other hopes to be someday. Right now, they are both sick with a preventable disease because they believed Facebook posts over medical doctors. They believed outlandish conspiracy theories over scientific facts. I don't know how sick they are and I, frankly, don't care. Their arrogance, ignorance, and hubris have consequences. I just hope their selfish decisions don't impact my family who has done the right thing from the beginning.

My wife is going to get tested today as am I. If either of us has it, I will never forgive these two specific idiots or the ones who empowered and emboldened them in their imbecility. I am sick and tired of coddling the ludicrous beliefs of ****ing morons. At this point, I think the only thing that will keep us safe from these modern-day Typhoid Marys is six feet, not of social distancing but of dirt between them and the rest of us.

Oh, no.... they have a .0002% chance of dying...

You, of course, have a 100% chance you're an asshole.

1. I was back in the office for three weeks in July

My cubicle co-worker came in with a band-aid on her shoulder and told me she'd just gotten her first shot. I congratulated her on that, told her to be sure to keep the appointment for the second shot, and had a little chat with the office manager, who was the person who told us that everyone had to come back to the office after we'd been working remotely for 16 months.

11. That's a very good question. Remember this guy went to prison for having unprotected

sex after he was diagnosed with HIV. Surely these people should be as responsible.

https://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/25/us/man-with-hiv-gets-prison-time-again-for-unprotected-sex.html

A Pennsylvania man with H.I.V. was sentenced on Wednesday to 33 to 66 months in prison for having unprotected sex with three women without telling them about his condition, the second time he has been imprisoned for the offense.

The man, Ricky Webster, 26, of Wilson, Pa., pleaded guilty to nine counts of reckless endangerment and will also face two years of probation. He expressed remorse at his sentencing in Northampton County, Pa., but Senior Judge Leonard N. Zito was unmoved.

“This ranks among the most cowardly of human acts,” Judge Zito said, according to The Morning Call. “What he did, what Ricky Webster did, was to steal the lives of these young girls.”

9. Companies in the US need to require vaccination for all employees

There's liability involve, as well as loss of productivity and man-hours for all these sick employees. The insurance companies must get tough and start cancelling employee-covered insurance policies, unless these companies start toeing the line.

Why does American business even tolerate this ridiculous "free-dumb" behavior? It cannot continue - they get vaccinated or they're fired. End of story.

Good luck to you and your wife, my friend. I hope you've been passed over by the Covid Angel of Death.

13. Not just a preventable disease

At this point, it's an ELECTIVE disease, at least for adults without immune system issues that prevent them from being vaccinated.

I heard this argument on (I think) CNN yesterday--that Abbott is encouraging hospitals to put off elective surgery so they can better deal with the huge numbers of COVID patients in the state. And the person on CNN said that the truth of the matter is that COVID itself is elective at this point. If you choose not to get your kids 12+ vaccinated and/or make that choice for yourself, who are you to keep someone from getting a colonoscopy or rhinoplasty when your illness is no more or less elective than theirs?

16. That is the modern terror. Forgeddabout Communists, break-in artists...

physical attacks, gangs, drunk drivers, and everything else we have been warned about.

This is the real unseen danger-- your "friends" and co-workers who have an invisible disease.

No warning, not even immediate harm. Just a quiet doom sneaking around in the shadows. Covid is the enemy, and you are with us or against us in the fight. There is no middle ground.

I hope your family is OK, your wife and everyone surrounding her do not deserve this plague.

24. These people have painted themselves....into a corner.

Just like their cult hero, they've invested everything into these conspiracy theories, and there are only two ways out for them; a successful coup with total fascism, or death.

It will be death by COVID, fighting to protect or destroy our democracy, or old age. Or the American people will fight and lose our democracy, or roll over and allow the republicans to take total control of all government in the country, even on local levels.

Those are the only two ways out for them. In either case, MF45 has ensured that people are going to die. Either from a pernicious virus, or in defending or destroying our democracy.

That will be MF45's legacy.

Lots of bloodthirsty fascists in that thread. The one above is one of the more sane reactions.

And it seems many of them are admitting their hatred of freedom, as they now refer to it as “free-dumb”.

I'm suspicious of this.  It sounds too neat.

"My wife got a call from work today..."

Okay, I'll give that a truthiness score of 80.

"Two of her.....co-workers have Covid....."

That's possible, but a little bit less likely.  Score of 70.

".....conspiracy theory-believing, anti-vax, anti-mask, Trump-worshipping....."

Utter fail.  Zero.

Must. Punish. All. Who. Disagree.

If lawsuits were filed against people for catching an illness, then people will clamb up and no one will know the vaxers from the anti-vaxers.

The obsession with vaccines combines with a view that they're useless.

If we assume (thought it's deeply deeply unlikely) that there is some truth to this story, then the DUmmy is claiming that the unvaccinated caught the disease because they are unvaccinated (i.e., the vaccine would have protected them); whilst at the same time contending that these infected people are putting the vaccinated at risk (i.e., the vaccine would not protect them). A touch of a contradiction...

It's just possible that his wife was infected and gave it to her co workers. The "vaccine" doesn't stop you from contracting the virus, just from getting sick. Almost sounds like the vaccine makes people super spreaders.

Interesting that the employer told the "wife" (yeah, I doubt even that part of the story, frankly) who in the office was sick.  Our district will tell staff and students if they were "in close contact" with a known case, but not who it was.  Our principal admonished us to not be feeding the rumor mill about who may be out with the kung flu or not.

Two of her conspiracy theory-believing, anti-vax, anti-mask, Trump-worshipping co-workers have Covid.

Unless these two live together, who at Star Moron Mortos' wife's place of employment "gave" the SARS-CoV-2 virus to these "conspiracy theory-believing, anti-vax ..." co-workers? Getting the virus independently and simultaneously most likely means they got it from a co-worker who has eluded Star Moron Mortos's ire. Maybe the source was a RFK Jr. type Prog anti-vaxxer? Maybe the source was a vax-distrusting black? Maybe the source was a vaxxed person who didn't wash their hands or some such?

Star Moron Mortos was so eager to dump on the "conspiracy theory-believing, anti-vax ..." co-workers that he didn't think about the chain-of-transmission possibilities. As for the un-vaxxed coworkers, they made a choice and appear to be receiving the consequences of it. There is no lack of anti-Covid-vax pig crap on conservative discussion sites; maybe anti-Covid-vax pig crap isn't circulating on DU, because it's so rigidly party-line, but it isn't lacking in Prog circles.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

When someone in my building at work tests positive for SARS-CoV-2, one of two things happen (besides the person staying home). 1. People with whom they had some degree of contact are notified and asked to stay home and get tested. Naming the person who tested positive would not be necessary, and probably wouldn't happen. 2. Other people in the building get an FYI type email. I've gotten two such in the past week or so. Again, the names of the persons are not mentioned.

So, either Star Moron Mortos' wife's mangler or HR committed a lawsuit-inviting Manglement-101-grade privacy violation, or Star Moron Mortos posted a :bouncy: that is partially or entirely fictional. That latter possibility, IMO, is the more likely.

Well, there are a few other traditional bouncy elements that were excluded.  These are from the original heyday of the actual DUmp member Bouncy Ball in the mid 2000's.

There was no applause in favor of the DUmmy's rantings to validate their moonbat rant.  Nothing about conversion either, which is also an essential point that is usually made.  And one of my favorites was that the offender Bush/Cheney/Trump/Repig drove off in a huff in a big ol' gas guzzling truck with truck nuts on the rear hitch.

World data shows a 14% positive rate, so DUmmies with a death rate well below 1% why are we not worried about other diseases?

well, I don't know - this is where his wife works:
