The day after an attack on a prayer event in Portland, Oregon, a big crowd of Christians gathered in the same location to sing and worship God.

I wonder if they "turned the other cheek" or brought weapons, JIC?

Peter drew his own sword to cut off Malchus's ear, meaning he was packing and Jesus knew it. (John 18:10)  The first time Jesus sent out His disciples, He told them to take nothing, no food, no money, no weapon. (Matt. 10:9-10) The second time, He said to take supplies, and if you don't have a sword, sell your extra stuff and get one.  (Luke 22:36)  To everything there is a time (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8), we need to be listening for when it's time to stand and when it's time to defend.

Romans 6:17-18 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
