New Movie SWING VOTE

I've been seeing previews for the Kevin Costner/Fraiser Crane/Tucci movie Swing Vote.
In the preview, Costner's character is driving along with his daughter, she implores him to vote, he replies that he isn't registered, she retorts that she registered him by mail.
There we have it folks, a federal offense.

Is this another one of those insipid ideological safaris like Man of the Year where they assure us their politically neutral so long as neutral so long as neutral means progressive taxation, gay marriage and a distance aloofness to abortion masking the lasse faire equivalent of infanticide?

Is it that kind of neutral?
