I am angry

I should be happy. McCain picked a totally unqualified running mate.

But I realize why it is that I am angry.

This woman is a reminder of how older, intelligent qualified women are stepped over time and again by the pretty ones. The ones with no qualifications besides breasts and a peppy smile.

We, as women have seen this time and time again since birth. You can be dumb as a rock or mean as a viper and as long as you are pretty, life will treat you well. Those of us who were not blessed with good looks, have to work 100X harder and even then, it's often not good enough.

I am furious that this glorified cheerleader, with no experience, may end up with control if the largest scariest military in the world and no ****ing clue what to do with it.

There is no other plausible explanation for this.

 Many well more qualified Republican women were passed over in favor of the young, pretty Sarah Palin. She is not at all qualified and is wrong on SO MANY issues, most glaringly CHOICE.
It's a condescending move, in my opinion. He's expecting disenchanted Hillary supporters to switch over just because he chose a running mate with a vagina... and that's pretty much all she has. As if substance and experience are unimportant to them. As if they will blindly support ANY woman - even if they are bad for American women on all the issues.

I think if I were a Hillary supporter, I might be inclined to work even harder against this ticket. Why should this pretty lady with ZERO experience get a spot that belonged to someone like Hillary or even Libby Dole, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Susan Collins, or pretty much any other woman in Republican politics?

It's a dumb dumb dumb move. I hope it reveals to the fence sitters what horrifically poor judgement McCain has.

Maybe she is smart .... but she is definitely infuriating. Her policies are out of touch with the majority of the country but who knows? People like pretty people.

A hard, cold fact of life. Her comments are what infuriate me the most. I was not a huge Hillary supporter however Hillary is a million more times qualified to run this country than this person. I know, that was a big "duh!" statment.  

She has a 90% favorable rating by the people of her state. Yeah...out of touch...

Yeah, I'll admit to a bit of smugness on behalf of Mittens, Pawlenty (Fall N. Bridges, I love that), and Arkansas' own Jubilation T Cornpone to be passed over -- their experience (and dirtiness) passed over for a trophy (whose lack of experience is made up for by a surprising amount of dirtiness in such a short amount of time -- filth and corruption, thy name is Republican). Part of me wants so badly to say they had it coming for their own nastiness. But I won't. Not just yet, anyway.

Such a desperate move can only be a visible sign of the impending spectacular implosion of what's left of the party of greed, corruption, graft, war, hatred, bloodshed, violence, nastiness, bigotry, sexism, false prudery, family values that plays out in hookers' bedrooms and men's room stalls, filling Jesus' mouth with volumes He never once said, and all-out, full-tilt idiocy.

Were YOU even remotely responsible for this choice so that you OWE them an explanation? So you've decided to reduce your explanation to looks?
