I don't think it's Palin. Here's why: If it is:

1. McCain can no longer argue that Obama is not ready to be CIC. He just picked someone younger and with less experience than Obama in public service. She'll be a 72 year old heart-beat away from the presidency if McCain is elected. Is she ready to be CIC? Riiigggghhhhhht.

2. The plane that flew into Dayton is owned by a major fundraiser for McCain. He's got money coming out of his ears. He probably brought his family for the rally.

3. Palin is involved in a scandal for abuse of power in the firing of an official who wouldn't fire her ex-brother-in-law when he divorced Palin's sister.

4. On both the economy and foreign policy, Palin is a no-show, and Biden will far outshine this novice.

5. If it's Palin, Obama's argument about McCain's judgment really starts playing. The FIRST important judgment call for a potential POTUS is to choose a running mate. Choosing Palin would show a tremendous lapse of judgment on McCain's part--choosing someone who is not ready to step in as CIC, as compared to Obama's judgment in choosing Biden.

I don't think it's Palin. But, if I'm wrong, and she's the pick, then, IMO, McCain has just handed us a gift on a silver platter.
