Cuomo is being Frankened

doesn't he understand this?

The playbook is the same.

1. I have to agree. I

So far he made them uncomfortable. One claimed she was afraid she would lose her job because Cuomo made a remark.

Good Lord, how many of us have heard much worse and laughed about it?

2. it is the same thing

and that "strip poker" shit-I read he put out flight logs and that never even happened.

3. I have to agree, the timing sure is suspicious

Trump and his "followers" have resented Cuomo's taking the lead and receiving national attention during this pandemic. And suddenly these women are speaking up now??

40. This morning, Buffalo's NPR station reported

that a 3rd woman has come forward. She says that Cuomo touched her back and her face at a wedding in 2019 and asked if he could kiss her.

Since the other 2 complaints were only about things said, this one escalates the level to touching. At a crowded wedding reception.

I think it's time for some good investigative reporters to look into these women and their connections. Who got to them to prompt them to come forward? Then report who is behind this and why.

54. On the one hand you have...

Allegations of someone touching a young woman's face once a few years ago.

On the other hand, you've got a whole lot of people who participated in a planned armed insurrection only a few weeks ago. Where the US Capitol was invaded and vandalized. People were killed. The leader of this coup was later let go from any responsibility by his henchmen in the same body which was attacked.

I'm going to go with the first hand.

YMMV.

80. And also, on the other hand, we've heard about numerous women who have accused Trump of rape

Someone mentioned this on MSNBC yesterday. Why aren't the news outlets focusing on this, or is this just another Trump behavior that he's "normalized??"

Quote

7. Now CNN

Is calling on him to resign. On MSNBC they have Parnes and Jonathon Allen claiming Biden barely won the election! Really ? 7 million more votes and 306 EV’s?

The gas lighting has begun!

9. Cuomo should just hang in there

“He wanted to kiss me!” What a joke. Only Democrats could find a way to have a serious conversation about a sexless sex scandal. Whether intentional or not, the people who are pushing this the hardest are running men out of the party and losing male voters. This is how we look absurd.

10. I have posted this morning about Cuomo, with my

“thumbs down” smilie.

And then, while walking to the kitchen for my coffee, it struck me so hard.......

Cuomo is from the old school, putting a face in your hands was a good thing, done all the time by Italians and Jewish grandpas.

I’m going to sit on the fence again.

16. I don't have an opinion yet

But it is instructive that so many women are upset about Governor Cuomo's behavior.

I'm not a victim of Governor Cuomo's misbehavior. Apparently, however, there are credible claims by women who have nothing to gain from their accusations.

We should all be cautious. This may not be a "nothing burger."

57. Why do women always hold back on reporting these incidents?

Fear. Fear of the power that many of these men wield. When one finally works up the courage to speak up, that generally encourages other women to speak up about what happened to them as well.

Fear. Fear of people dismissing their claims entirely out of hand. Fear that people will accuse them of being paid off, of looking to push a man down just so they could somehow get ahead. Fear that their claims, especially when made against politicians, will be dismissed as a political ploy.

Fear. Fear of abandonment for when they finally do speak out. It doesn't just have to be by friends or family either. It could be a larger group. A political party, even. And now that they have spoken up... We've got a lot of Democrats saying that they are being paid off as some Republican ploy. A lot of people have thrown them under to bus, have abandoned them under the bus.

Seeing some of the commentary that supposed Democrats are throwing their way... That they're being paid off by Republicans, that what happened to them wasn't 'really' sexual harassment, that it's just normal - everyday, acceptable - behavior, that 'oh, why are you smiling in that picture if he was harassing you?!?!'... Well, I'd say they have reason to be fearful that no one would believe them and that they would end up ostracized for speaking out.

39. I'm mad at

Him. And not sure what to make of it.

But I hope he proves to be stubborn enuf to hold out until the investigation is finished.

I am supposed to believe the victims are not lying. If they are lying, they are setting back our cause of equality and respect by decades. If they are telling the truth then WHY THE HECK did they wait so long to come forward? Was it to pile on after the COVID Nursing Home thing????

He has a huge ego as many in politics do. Big Egos get people in trouble.

I hope we don’t lose a strong Governor who has gotten us through a lot in the past year. He got thru the corruption thing years ago when he should have been replaced.

If he steps aside, Who will take over now? It needs to be someone who voters know across the state.

68. I said this during the demands for Franken's resignation.

If mere words or a hand on the back can be deemed as sexual assault, this country is in a big mess. By the age of 25, every woman should know how to say “no” to an unwanted suggestion from a man. There’s certainly been enough publicity about such situations. I spent my life in corporate America as a female manager in a male-dominated field. You learn very quickly to politely and clearly fend off any suggestive behavior. I suspect that politics is no different.

The complaints against Cuomo seem to have taken place with other people around, except possibly for the one in his office. Such behavior doesn’t generally happen in public. I’m skeptical of the reason these women suddenly decided to go public with their accusations that don’t seem very substantial.

71. It's only "Frankened" if it's false. An investigation is warranted. And now is the time to do it...

...before Democrats lock in our candidate for the next NY gubernatorial election. Biden welcomed scrutiny when false allegations were made against him, and they melted away when a spotlight was focused on them.

The biggest problem with Franken was that there was no investigation. Democrats stampeded to drive him out of the Senate based on sketchy reports from dubious sources. The main accuser was clearly compromised in fact. So far that has not been shown to be the case with those accusing Cuomo. The first two were people employed by him.

The standard is not to take women seriously unless they are accusing a Democrat. And I find nothing suspicious on its face when allegations burst near simultaneously. People are often hesitant to take on a powerful man alone, and are understandably reluctant to be the first person to stand against him. Personally I also think it plausible that women with allegations against Cuomo (which may or may not turn out to be true) might find themselves encouraged to speak out by members of a political party who have a stake in who becomes NY's next governor. But it is at least as likely that such encouragement is coming from fellow Democrats than from Republicans. The way that Cuomo operates has made him a lot of enemies among State Democrats, and mostly that isn't just over policy.

73. When Cruz and Hawley resign Cuomo resigns

Until then, F the GQP. Cuomo stays. I don’t give a shit what they accuse him of. When I start seeing Republicans resign for their bs then maybe we can talk about resignations

doesn't he understand this?

There's photographic evidence that proves Cuomo's sexual harassment?

I'd love to see Pam's comments during Feinstein's failed Kavanaughing.

2 things..

first, President Trump offered National Guard resources to assist with security that day that pelosi turned down

second, I see you use the word "planned" which pretty much puts a rest to your claims that President Trump's speech on January 6 "incited" the violence that took place at the capitol by persons unknown.

Biden is an illegitimate President.  Change my mind.

2 things have jumped out pretty hard on these Cuomo threads over there.  I wish a DUmmie would come explain them to me because I'm a knuckle dragger and obviously don't understand things like 'nuance.'

1.  I thought they didn't like the "whataboutism" they claim conservatives do, but all these threads seem to be absolutely filled with it.

2.  I see a lot of them talking about investigating the women, but very few who talk about investigating Cuomo.  Not to mention they talk about how long they waited to come out.

As mentioned above, the allegations on Kavanaugh went back to when he was 16 years old, for crying out loud.  This Cuomo stuff is only a couple of years old AND they are his staffers.  Not some republican trying to throw a wrench in the system.

I've never been one to believe the mantra that you had to believe all women.  Women lie just like men lie.  It is human nature and I doubt there is a single person on the whole of earth who could claim to have never lied.  Let the investigation(s) begin, and let them be on both sides.  What comes out, comes out.  Enough of the character assassination.

"These women" are speaking up now because they believe Cuomo has been so damaged by his nursing home scandal that he no longer can destroy them for daring to speak out.

Granted, that's my guess, but it's a whole lot less hole-filled and convoluted than whatever Star Moron Rhiannon12866 fantasized.

Cuomo is being offered this out on harassment charges so he can disappear and not face murder charges.
