Veepstakes: Speculation Focuses on Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin

(CNSNews.com) - Reports that a private plane from Juneau, Alaska, landed near Dayton, Ohio, last night has fueled media speculation that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will be his running mate.
 
McCain will announce his choice for vice president at noon today in Dayton.
 
A few top prospects have basically ruled themselves out:
 
“I'm not going to be there. I plan to be at the state fair. You can draw your conclusion from that," one top prospect, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty said early Friday on his weekly call-in radio show on WCCO-AM in Minneapolis.

Press reports say that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will not be in Ohio either.

     This move completely cuts the balls off of Joe Biden, too (not that he had much, anyway, I suppose). He was going to go into the debates breathing fire at Mitt Romney, but now he will have to back off. Will he? No - he'll condescend to Palin, will appear to be the complete and utter douche that he is, and more voters will come to our side.


     This is an outstanding choice.

I agree with Banned, if Biden attacks Palin too much, he'll come off as a rabid bully.  He's gonna have to tone himself down, which means he won't as effective.  IT's a lose lose for Biden.
