warning about the 2022 midterms-- especially the House: GOP could pick up enough seats to win
back the House just from redistricting after the 2020 census, because they control states that could pick up seats etc.

We CAN'T let them take back the HOUSE before the 2024 election because they could use (and would certainly try if they could use) extra-constitutional means to take the presidency.

Good discussion of this here in the middle block and what Dems can do about it.

One thing is to get rid of the filibuster and pass the John Lewis voting rights act.

But the main thing is we can't rest now.

1. I'm not buying that. There will always be DT diehards who will vote for whoever he tells them to

support, but the disgust with DT by relatively normal people is growing more each day & that includes many Repubs who have just had enough. I'm not saying it will be easy. We still have to win over those former Pubs, but if we can show them we support a lot of things they used to support, & we're not nearly the radical Party they've always been told, I think we can not only hold the Housse & Senate, but gain back a lot of the seats we lost in 2020.

3. We better. Last thing we need is 3 president Biden impeachment's

I have no doubt the repugs will do it just to try to make history and take the double impeachment away from trump as the only. Repugs play dirty.

6. The GOP is going to spend the next 2 years shooting each other in the face

over who is a "real" (i.e. a Trump fondler) conservative and who is a deep-state sellout in their primaries. If a Deep-stater emerges, the Trumpies will hate em and sit out.

If the Trumpie wins, we may see a stray Marjorie/Boebert clone win a red district, but the others in moderate/purple districts won't stand a chance in the general.

Here's all you have to do to win over those 74 million Trump voters to your party:

- Make them wear masks everywhere for the next two years
- Militarize the nation's capitol
- Introduce draconian gun regulations and take half of their guns away
- Crank up taxes
- Promise more socialism
- Kill the energy industry so gas prices skyrocket
- Give ChiVi relief checks to illegals
- Call everyone you don't agree with a domestic terrorist

And just like that the DUmmies are against frivolous snap impeachments
Biden is an illegitimate President.  Change my mind.
