I listen to Public Radio a lot, just because the talk-talk-talk keeps me awake (mostly by making me mad.

) They did an entire show on how kids "these days" can't afford to go to expensive private colleges or state universities, but instead
have to fall back on community colleges because the economy is so bad.
I guess the economy was pretty bad in the '70's too, because I started out at a community college...my parents couldn't afford a state university. Mr Smith had the same experience.
Of course, in my Dad's generation...he didn't go to college at all. He was drafted into the Army. My Mom went to college...but she worked full-time to put herself through school. Her parents couldn't afford it.
Seriously, has there EVER been a time when everyone could afford to send their kids to college?

DUH!! (with the exception of much of this generation...the Dims have been in power long enough in some states, and now the
courts can order the parents to pay for their children's college.

)
But the Dim and libs go right on whining about something that has always been this way, as though someone OWES them an education...just as someone OWES them free healthcare.
