Condolences, asdf.

I lost my loveable, big, orange, 17-pound, goofy, buckethead, doofus of a cat in April. He had feline lymphoma and fought it for a couple months, but in the end I had to take him on that inevitable and most difficult trip to the Doc.

We rescued him and his siblings 13 years ago this month, beside a creek in a state forest, on a hand cut stone fireplace built by the CCC 70+ years ago. In the past 13 years, they removed those fireplaces due to vandalism and deterioration.

I went to the forest to find something to mark his grave, maybe a nice rock from the creek.

What I found in the creek was two pieces of the cut stone from the fireplace, where they had been for years, waiting.

She went gently.

A last walk in the sun down to the clinic and she went to sleep.

I couldn't be there. I just couldn't.

I would have tried to make them stop.

Been there, done that.....it sooooooo f*cking sucks, but you know you can't, it is for the best, but it dosen't feel that way.

 I hate times like that.

I am SO sorry!  Sweet soul!  I've passed along my prayers for her blessings.  Contrary to what some people tell me, animals DO have souls.

I lost my pup dog Sarah of 15 years last year. It is like losing a relative I swear. My condolences. Reading the Rainbow Bridge back then helped ease the pain. Its amazing how our pets crawl past our walls and into our hearts.
